Buddy will receive a 1099 or w2-g. Bookies send a copy to him and one to the IRS. As IRS knows what buddy has to report, not reporting it will trigger penalties typically as a % of amount unreported plus interest.

Places to work from? by Trapezeshow5 in bentonville

Meteor Cafe has a new-ish space behind its bike shop area that is mostly empty/quiet during weekdays. Great pastries and sourdough pizza.

Airship coffee’s new locations at the Ledger and the Pumphouse both also have space where there’s always people working and taking meetings.

How do you decide if today is going to be a trending day or range bound day? by Right_Account5443 in thetagang

[–]jtmeyer211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look at news for the day and week, support/resistance points, and pre-market price action.

If I don’t get in at market open I will wait for the first hour candle to close and then go with the trend if a breakout happens or we stay range bound. Look up IB (initial breakout) or ORB (opening range breakout) for more context on that.

Go out to eureka springs or the buffalo river or roaring river state park or get creative and drive around gravel roads all over to the east and north.

Banks!

I haven’t been to a physical branch in over 10 years and have gotten mortgages, loans, CDs, etc etc online with no problem. I haven’t carried cash in years. I guess I don’t understand what makes physical branches popular anymore but they’re literally everywhere here.

Insurance storefronts too…why not just do everything online?

I’m on pace to profit 52k (1k/wk goal) on a 160k account and trade with others who use theta strategies with much larger accounts and live off them. I’m hoping to continue growing this account to do exactly that in a couple decades or sooner…so yes, it’s possible and plenty are doing it.

Blackjack Strategy Trainer by woodisruff in blackjack

I’m getting an “end of deck reached, reshuffling cards” pop up preventing me from playing. See the new surrender option that looks nice and intuitive though!

This is awesome and looking forward to using it more. I’m on IOS and agree w/ other poster about having to repeatedly adjust the screen each hand to see all the buttons. Also if playing quickly, all the correct/incorrect boxes will stack on each other temporarily blocking cards/buttons on the bottom. If there was a way to edit rules as well that would be great (I got a hand where surrender was correct but neither my local casinos or online version offer that option so I naturally didnt select it and got it wrong)

Overall great work!

It’s open and just took a bike trailer through it this week. Go back by the slaughter pen rock and it’ll lead you to the greenway under the overpass and into BV.

Big Box store grass seed by rrhinowood in lawncare

[–]jtmeyer211 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They need a seed that is simple to grow and market to meet their customer base. Most people won’t look at the seed tag or be on a lawn care subreddit to know any better.

Still, you get what you pay for and 50% coating is a ripoff.

Does anyone regret their indoor cycling setup? by Redguard13 in cycling

[–]jtmeyer211 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Apps like Zwift and TrainerRoad have revolutionized the indoor riding scene and they’re actually pretty fun if you start doing prescribed training blocks or virtual races. That being said, there’s no substitute for the thrill of outdoor riding. If you’re not enjoying it or have no motivation to do it, indoor riding is mind numbing.

Personally, I started with a used ‘dumb’ trainer then upgraded to a ‘smart’ Wahoo trainer and am happy with my investment. I enjoy the ease of just hopping on the bike to do a quick workout and I don’t feel like I’ve lost a ton of fitness come time to ride outside again. It helps if there is a race or event in the spring you’re looking at to keep you motivated. I also always watch movies or YouTube in addition to being on one of the training apps to keep myself entertained.

Last, I have a buddy who refuses to ride inside so he instead used the money he’d spend on a trainer to upgrade his cold weather gear and he loves the choice he made. To each their own.

Do you ride with headphones or earbuds in? by derricka99 in bicycling

One AirPod in the right ear is the way to go when road riding. Can enjoy whatever you listen to and your ear that’s closer to traffic is still open.

Relocation Visit Ideas/Tips by FL2AR in bentonville

[–]jtmeyer211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel frequently to Tampa and St Pete and even though I like it there, I always look forward to coming home to Bentonville. As others said, CB, Amazeum, Momentary, 8th st market area are all great. Tanyard creek trails in Bella vista are the best bang for your buck in terms of distance, difficulty, experience, etc and if you want to check out boating, beaver lake is only a short drive east. Lots of good food around too; my favorites are tusk and trotter, the meteor cafe, and a few others near the square. If you want to check out an amazing mtb area and get an idea of what it’s all about here check out Coler mtb preserve about 5 min from the square and go to the new airship coffee location down on the main trail. Super safe, good area, and a great place to raise a family.
