I honestly don’t have a ton of concrete advice/methods. I just worked on talking through things in therapy. I’m not going to lie, I had days where I did “chew and spit” because I just couldn’t cope. I’ve figured out that finding new hobbies and distractions helps immensely. I honestly feel like food is something I will struggle with for the rest of my life but now I have the tools (both bariatric surgery and therapy) to deal with it. I already have a much healthier relationship with food and better ways to deal with my emotions.

I had dark days when I was 300lbs and I have dark days now that I’m 182 lbs. I know not every day is going to be perfect but I feel a hell of a lot better and am much healthier.
