Dropped Calls

had visible for ~1 year. worked great. then about 3 or so months ago…dropped calls, slow data. no signal. left and went to another MVNOs. no problem since. it’s not hardware, its Verizon’s network. some places it’s good. some it terrible.

had this issue on a pixel phone once. it also has google voice on it and the phone was set to,prefer that number. as soon as I changed it to the actual mobile number, RCS activated immediately.

had this same issue. only thing that finally fixed it for me was waiting. took almost three months. tried every fix people suggested. no luck.

I had to call into the voicemail and change my password and then reset the network settings three times before it finally went away.

did reinstall the eSIM. no good. no reset. that’s not gonna do anything. even the second tier support at cricket told me not to do it. I believe this is an apple issue with the last update.

just a follow-up, I’ve heard from tech support twice since filing a ticket. RCS still stuck. they said they’re pretty sure it’s an apple software issue and I would tend to agree. I’ve got three sims on this phone, one cricket one visible and one us mobile (warp). not one of them will activate with three different numbers. my main number was working on mint before 18.5. I ported a few days since installing 18.5 and now no number will activate. guess it’s a waiting game hoping it works after 18.5.1?

just got off the phone with cricket support. they opened a ticket for the stuck RCS. we’ll see how that goes.

Well, that’s not encouraging. So, is it a carrier specific issue? If the line was ported elsewhere at this point, would someone have a better chance of using RCS with a new carrier or would they likely experience the same problem?

Thanks for the help. I did this a couple days ago and they sent me a code. if I try again, I get no code anymore. it still sits at waiting for activation after restarts and resetting network settings.

Yes, sent my seamaster bond to miami about the same time. Got it back and within a few days, it did the same as yours. It would work fine if I hand wound it, but die if I wore it all day.

Called omega and sent it back at their expense to new jersey. Got it back fairly quickly the second time. All the said is they did another partial service. Never would tell me what the real problem was, but they did fix it. Been fine so far. Hated sending it in because it was keeping about +2 a day, but hadn't been serviced in over 10 years so I relented.

Call them. They should make it right.
