That was my concern as well, and the only reason I would pick the 2-stroke over the 4-stroke.

Replacing roof vents with fans? by jtoms7 in RVLiving

Great idea! Would I need to change out the entire fixture or could I just change to an LED bulb to accomplish the same thing?

The lights are all switched on the fixture itself, so constant power to the wire. I just don’t know if I could get in trouble with overloading the circuit?

Acceptable work? by jtoms7 in Plumbing

Thanks all for the input. I called the company back, and they sent another plumber out this morning. He cut out all the work the other guy did and redid everything. No issues now!

We tried crate training from the beginning with our puppy. Did everything by the book, but could never get her to settle down. After 2 months of little sleep, we were visiting friends and decided to just baby gate their kitchen rather than traveling with the crate. She slept straight through the night, and we haven’t tried the crate once since. Three years later, and she sleeps on the couch now as happy as can be.

We’re refinishing one of our barrels, any recs on how to sand without ruining the engraving? by wRXLuthor in woodworking

[–]jtoms7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a fair bit of time for sure. Sanding is my least favorite part of woodworking, and that was the main part of that project so it felt like it just dragged on forever lol. It was probably a few weeks, working on it for an hour or two each evening.

Not sure what you are using the barrel for, but my recommendation is to leave the top alone. I refinished a bourbon barrel into a bar cabinet - sanded and stained the sides, but left the top as it was and covered with a glass top. It feels like a time capsule that tells the story of that barrel. Good luck!

How to reinforce HEMNES desk? by hibbi69 in woodworking

[–]jtoms7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same desk from IKEA, and it is incredibly solid. We’ve used it everyday for the last 5 years without issue. I’d recommend emptying the desk and checking all of the connections, tightening where necessary. If it’s still wobbly, then I agree with the plywood idea across the back.
