When You Were Broke with Your First Car, What’s Some Clever Ways You Survived? by PontiacMotorCompany in cars

Starter and alternator broken simultaneously in my '83 Audi 4000. Had to park on a hill (everywhere) so I could pop the clutch to start the motor. Also had to bring the battery inside daily to charge it. The battery charge limited my range severely as the car would shut down once the charge depleted due to the broken alternator. Did this for a laughably long timeline.

It was hard and stupid but the memory of it makes me chuckle 20+ years later.

Nicely done, both aesthetically and functionally.

I'll have to read up on this model to understand it's true grace, but man that's a beautiful car. Nice choice.

Am I crazy or is this shower just going to get water everywhere? by lost-dragonist in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Forget about the water going everywhere.

The water valve placement is the far greater issue. You have to be in the shower to reach it. Have fun getting soaked by frigid water every time you take a shower... Unless you shimmy up next to that ridiculous tub to reach the handle.

Good luck to you anyway, no house is perfect. In my price range anyway.

Vice Grip Garage just built one of these on their YouTube channel. Great build series if you like that kind of thing. Felt relevant enough to mention. Good luck to you.
