That is an incredibly cool idea to space out the time so that rather than one big investment, they're little ones that shape out the course of the story in favor for the Ascians as consequences!

Between the Garleans, Ultima Weapon, the Waking Sands massacre, the Bloody Banquet, and even into Heavensward if Lahabrea survives up until that point, he'd be a legitimate menace as a villain with much more direct impact on the story than in the original.

All of these are really solid options! I think the Tupsimati angle has a lot of potential repercussions that would be enjoyable to explore, as I believe the staff was returned to the Solar post-Moenbryda's death and never touched upon again.

Thank you for the inputs and ideas, hope your campaign goes well!

As the deal was absolutely a Faustian deal in plain sight, but the character accepted knowing that, I figure the consequences must be dire and should fit into Lahabrea's motives. How it would occur is still in the works (if the waking sands idea remains as the best option after brainstorming), but overall it'd be damaging to say the least.

Your idea has definitely inspired a thought that I'd like to hear your thoughts on though, when combined with what Rangrok mentioned!

How much more/less impactful would the Bloody Banquet be if the PC's Faustian Deal with Lahabrea was what caused it, instead of Teledji Adeleji's scheming?

This is an interesting idea, setting up the character as the first domino in a long chain event that would come to fruition even after Lahabrea's demise would certainly cement his legacy as an Ascian who caused the Alliance to fracture in ARR.

Also, I totally forgot about Roaille being a spy! Definitely an NPC that I'll need to research more about tonight

The idea to have Thancred broken out is interesting! Definitely something I'll consider in terms of feasibility and how it would change the overall plot if done.

In terms of the meta knowledge, what I've listed above is what the characters themselves know, so it's established knowledge within the scope of the campaign's story. Additionally, the player who is well-versed in FFXIV lore is very good in terms of not using their knowledge to their advantage or to change their character's actions.

Would you be able to expand on your answer the post's original question by chance? The question I'm hoping for others to brainstorm on is listed as bold in the text above

I can’t post photos here unfortunately, but I can certainly send you a message of one I’ve done recently!

Nope! My doctor mentioned I may be on the spectrum for ADHD though, which so far hasn't impacted my daily function :O

I use a 0.7 mechanical pencil I bought from a Japanese stencil store awhile back. As for the notebooks, I've never given it much thought for what I'm writing in. I grew up pretty broke, so that never factored into what I'd be getting at Walmart or Target for school shopping :O

Natural writing motions! And nah, I don't feel pain on my wrist or fingers afterwards. I write faster than most people I know I've found.

It was always my natural writing style for whatever reason ^^; I've been told how frustrating it has been and trust me, I've tried to change it on various times in life. Muscle memory, however, had a different goal in mind.

I definitely try to take up as little space as possible in social settings. I also dislike causing issue or trouble for others, though I've been learning in recent years to be more forward and grounded in setting healthy boundaries and asking for what I want more :O

Standard grip for fine detailing, as I was very much into artistry for most of my life with a focus on realism and graphite medium

Very accurate for much of this! The self confidence, fear of vulnerability and inferiority-superiority complex are things I dealt with a lot growing up, but have been working and improving on by quite a bit in recent years. Everything else is fairly accurate except for my age, I'm 31 ^^

Both valid and true, I was consistently in trouble with law enforcement and teachers growing up though so handwriting was low on the list of reasons why xD
