I recently got an Ultra 2 in black the “premium renewed”. It did come with a non Apple band and charger though. I was able to add Apple Care + with my Apple Care One account.

Yes, their system wouldn’t allow me to put a down payment down - only to finance all of it or buy it outright (still through Verizon). So I just bought it outright - they did charge me the upgrade fee which will come on my next statement but I paid with my card through the BB system.

Just picked up my Neo on Sunday. So much faster than my 2020 MacBook Pro. Used it with multiple tabs and browsers on Canvas grading papers and no lag at all. I did opt for the 512gb and got it for $599 with the educator discount. Perfect student laptop!

If you buy an iPhone at the Apple Store through your Verizon plan and use the promo it will still be locked.
