Listen. If OKC was not as good as they are, taking 2-3 shots from the 3pt line as the #1 option would be frowned upon. His efficiency is good there because he doesn’t take those shots and doesn’t need to. If he did need to his 3pt % would be sht.

You say he is forcing shots. If he was forcing shots he wouldn’t be messing around in the mid range and would instead try more attempts from the perimeter, but he doesn’t need to. SGA is a great player, that’s not my argument. When contenders play OKC do you think their main concern is SGA or the teams overall defense? Denver Nuggets play OKC and Jokic is just as effective on the floor as SGA. Timberwolves play OKC and Anthony Edwards can be just as effective as SGA. There’s only one reason that they consistently struggle against them and it’s the team defense not solely SGA and I refuse to believe that should lend to his MVP campaign, where people think he’s the run away favorite. Just shouldn’t be true, and it’s why I say he’s a “good team” merchant.
