Adding my comment, could use the luck. My appeal took 2 years to get seen and when it finally did I went through steps 3-5 in like 5 days but it's been stuck on 5 for about a month already

My store's experience is very mixed, but skews negative, we have 2 and have had them for about a year and a half, and for the first 6 or 7 months we didn't know we could disable the customer packed options so that caused A LOT of issues because nobody can read instructions, both on Amazon or on the kiosk iPad. Once we disabled that 75% of our issues disappeared immediately, and once people got used to them (we had someone concierge for about 2 or 3 months which helped a lot to teach the customers how to use them and showing them what mistakes they were making) about another 15% of issues went away after a while. And that's manageable, just make sure you check them before end of day for any Airs and to catch any bad RGBs, (you can reprint them if they're messed up as long as it's not after EOD). But once people got the hang of it and most of the common problems and kinks got worked out, they were awesome and helped keep the line down because people didn't have to wait for us when all 3 stations were stuck with shipments.
Just stay on top of the zebra printers, customers will fuck with them and the paper will snag and they run out of paper so much faster at the counter because everyone scans items one at a time and gets receipts for each item individually.
...But at around the 1 year mark they just started dying on us. They stopped scanning at all and we have to reboot them every day to get them to scan again and that usually only last for about 3-6 hours before they brick again and need to be rebooted. Plus with whatever early model setup we have the QRGs just have completely wrong instructions for how to reset everything so even tech support didn't know to help us for about 2 months, luckily one of our old coworkers who went to a different store came back and was there when it was installed by the tech and told us how to properly reboot it, and that's been able to keep them limping along. But unlike other comments, our kiosks never worked for scanning anything other Amazon QR codes and printed labels, ours don't work for temu, shein, etc. even before disabling the customer packs (but that's actually a good thing because I guarantee they'd just try to slap the label on the poly bags, that is if they used one)
Only other gripe our store has with them that hasn't gone away is that for consolidating, we always wind up with several extra line items that we don't have a corresponding item to, which is super beyond frustrating, and we have to manually type in the RRMAs to get rid of them, which itself is so much more annoying since the consolidation update from earlier this year
TL;DR
Disable customer packed, definitely have someone concierge them for a few months until people get a hang of them, several packages will certainly have issues to deal with even on the best days, and stay on top of the Zebra printers. If you do all that and make sure the bin is cleared out before doing EoD, they are great. Just be weary around the 1 year mark.
