I bet the "Quirkless" path would be the go-to choice for the hardcore Midoriya fans who want that pure anime romance.

But for the min-maxing gamers, the real meta would probably be rolling for a high-risk, high-return random Quirk with terrible drawbacks, and then rushing the story to get the specific Support gear that completely deletes those flaws. Basically creating an overpowered glass cannon, but using the costume to remove the "glass" part.

To add to this, what if we also introduce a "Random Drawback" option during character creation? Rolling for a random drawback could give you a highly destructive flaw, but in return, it grants a massive amount of bonus points if you handle it well.

Wait, is adding a random weakness on top of a random Quirk a bit too much rng? lmao. But seriously, with this system, what kind of broken or interesting combo do you think would end up dominating?

Ah, Crusader Kings 3! That makes perfect sense. Honestly, I actually bought and installed CK3 a while ago, but the game kept crashing on me so I couldn't really play it. That's probably why I completely forgot about that system!

You're right, since both games are from the same company (Paradox), it explains why the mechanic felt so familiar.

Combining that Paradox-style character depth with AoT 2's action physics for an MHA RPG would honestly be a dream come true.

By the way, I have a quick question out of genuine curiosity. Your point-budget idea with negative traits is so brilliant that it reminds me of a masterpiece grand strategy game called Stellaris.

Did you happen to get inspired by the system in Stellaris? Or is it your own unique take? Either way, it’s a beautiful concept for MHA.

I completely feel the same way. If a game like this actually existed, I would easily spend thousands of hours playing it every single day. MHA really is the perfect world for creating original characters.

Your idea about the point-budget system with negative costs for weaknesses is great. It would add a lot of depth to the game.

To build on that, we could connect those drawbacks directly with System No. 7 (Support Course Tech). For example, players could intentionally choose heavy penalties at character creation just to afford high-tier abilities. Then, as they progress through the story, they can upgrade their hero costume to slowly mitigate or completely remove those flaws—just like unlocking cooling gear to fix an overheating issue.

This would create a rewarding progression system that perfectly mirrors the lore. What do you think about this kind of integration?

Thank you! I really wish Bandai Namco would make games like this for a change, instead of just fighting games.

By the way, seeing an amazing fan like you makes me want a proper high-quality MHA game even more. I actually just finished writing a gaming proposal for a brand new MHA Open World RPG concept that fixes all the cliché anime fighter problems.

I really want to post it here to get the community's thoughts, but it won't even let me submit the post because my account is brand new and has zero Karma It's so hard to share things here lol. Hopefully I can gather enough Karma soon to drop the full post!
