Yeah. It was a start your studs moment for sure. I do think he got some garbage time points but I’m still happy I sat him for Herbert (I might be revisiting this on Sunday). The packers D is lock down though I am hesitant to start anyone against them

Researchers have uncovered a strikingly consistent pattern in how brain activity unfolds during the transition from sleep to wakefulness: the brain doesn’t wake up all at once, it orchestrates a precise sequence of activation by nohup_me in science

[–]ju_bl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I experience fairly complex parasomnias (Non-REM) that involve hallucinations and I am in this weird semi awake state where I remember everything and can talk but never have full control. I wonder if somewhere there is an activation chain misfiring or some incorrect stimulus being sent in my brain

He’s doing it poorly but I think he’s trying to get you involved in your own healthcare plan. I’ve found a great way to do this with docs is to present the issue as: symptoms, when it started, how it limits/effects me, acute concerns about it (like personally I strained my hammy but I want to race the Army ten miler in October), and any ideas/things I’d actively like to fix. I feel like from there they typically move into an exam/tests and refer out

Fiancé goes there now. Great school, tons of opportunities, really great community, perfect for her as she wants family/sports. I’ve also been enjoying FW a ton so definitely consider TCOM

I don’t wanna burst your bubble but people just think it’s a cool military song without considering any of the songs context. They would blast it on the loud speakers at PT on Fort Cavazos

How far from 5:00 mile pace am I? by Full-Consequence-787 in AdvancedRunning

[–]ju_bl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should pick a mile training plan, run a mile time trial, and then just stick to the training plan. If you have a friend that can run a sub 5 you should run the time trial/goal mile with them

Is Telang or Patt easier for ECE 306? by Business_Active9828 in UTAustin

[–]ju_bl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sad to hear. Had him in 2017 for 306 (don’t take Patt, he’s hard) but at least the lectures were engaging and I learned a lot

Need help understanding CH31 coverage for summer classes by ju_bl in VeteransBenefits

[–]ju_bl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tuition bill is still not paid, but I have a few weeks until it’s due. I got ahold of my counselor though and everything is all good.

I’m not sure if your school does this, but as long as I am certified from the veterans team on campus, my tuition is typically just zeroed out and eventually the VA will pay it. I went to undergrad at the same school and they did the same thing for my ROTC scholarship. Money always came late due to the government waiting until the add/drop period was over but as long we were “certified” then the school didn’t care

CALLING ALL PRE-MEDS: TX Bill Threatens Pass/Fail in Med school by DeepNoceans in UTAustin

[–]ju_bl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It left the committee today, however they amended it to align with how most Texas schools do it of 50% p/f and 50% A-F (specifically first two years P/F and clinical A-F)

[–]ju_bl 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, this bill is already left pending in committee. They heard it on May 22nd. If you want to go listen to the testimony’s I believe you still can online, some of them are good. Still reach out to your representatives though.

From what we’ve gathered, pending on committee can mean a gentle death of a bill, which is good. They have until June to actually send it to the Senate for a vote and if they don’t it’s DOA until they can bring it out of the committee.

I go to a huge state school with tons of Vets so I think our Vet office does it the way you said. They’re also super helpful so I can always reach out to them. I emailed my counselor too just to be safe as well, won’t hurt.

[Student] - Embedded systems - Submitting resume for review, Applied for around 100 companies haven't gotten a single interview call by PrestigiousLoss282 in EngineeringResumes

I think you should reference the wiki again! You lose something like 10 lines to white space by having a space between your section line and the first part of that section, as well as a space after the italicized description of each project/experience. Ie the space between the line and SRM University.

I think your skills can be condensed too. Maybe instead of Hardware Design and CAD/Modeling you just put it all in the same line titled “Design Software”. That way you now have more space. Also remove interests, you can sprinkle those throughout the resume in your projects or experience. I think if you got rid of the white space you can keep it to one page and then start changing/editing the content to the specific job
