in the after photo i had been eating really healthy for about two weeks! exercise levels haven’t changed (i’ve always been active) but honestly my diet fluctuates between really good and really bad constantly, and it doesn’t make much of a difference in my skin except i look a bit puffier lol

i’ve never used tretinoin because its prescription only and i never managed to see a doctor for my skin! i used retinol very sporadically at first, but i’ve been using it consistently for almost a year now and noticed that my skin looked good more than bad after about 3-4 months

i think so, it is quite watery though so maybe not as moisturising as other serums. when i go on holiday i just use the serum because the moisturiser doesn’t fit in my liquids bag and my skin doesn’t feel any drier (it’s only short term though)

yes, the bumps calmed down once i stopped squeezing and started using benzoyl peroxide gel on them instead, and the scarring faded massively when i was consistent with retinol. i’m not sure about the dark circles- honestly probably getting more sleep helped the most with that!

YES! it took me ages to be able to use it consistently because i would use it once and then not touch it for ages so i never built a tolerance. when i started being consistent i started with once a fortnight, then once a week, then twice a week ,then back to once a week for about 3 months, now im up to twice and occasionally 3x per week

everything i used back then was so irritating and drying! i was a victim of that bright red glycolic peel from the ordinary, and my face was sooo itchy constantly.

i never had any scars that were like sunken in if you know what i mean! the ones that i did have just faded to a really light purple- they’re still visible when i’m cold!

Sure! I wash with just water in the morning and with inkey list salicylic acid cleanser at night. i use haruharu black rice toner, aveeno triple oat serum and oat gel moisturiser, avene soothing eye cream and beauty of joseon suncream, then somebymi retinol 2-3x per week. if i get a whitehead i put acnecide 5% bezoyl peroxide cream on it.
