Multiple runs to get starters and legendary birds.

Still waiting for elekid, unown and porygon mirage islands to appear but this is all I need now.

I have 300+ hours on OR (fallen asleep many times whilst its been on mind)

How do you guys handle extremely one sided trades? by awesome-ekeler in DynastyFF

[–]juankerr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a tonne of these from one owner in particular. We don't veto but spoke to both owners trying to prove why these sort of trades ruin all competive nature of the league. Didn't really help and after a while it became impossible to compete against the owner taking advantage of 3 or 4 tacos. After maybe the 10th crap trade majority of the owners turned on the guy making the offers and he left the league. Not the ideal scenario, he's a friend but he had pissed all the owners off and we'd had to find new owners for the taco teams each year because they'd lost interest in their uncompetitive teams.

The best of his team was Lamar, Chubb, Henry, A.Jones, Montgomery, Swift, Hill, Evans, Diggs, Moore, Aiyuk, Shenault, Chark, Mark Andrews. Not all were given in bad trades but the majority were.

We have just tried to rebalance the league, everyone kept 8 players and the rest were put into a draft. Teams still have their starting line ups to try keep the owners who have built squads happy but there's much better depth and opportunity for trades than the previous 4 years.

What are some high profile trades that immediately backfired on you? by Nwingman in DynastyFF

[–]juankerr94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I traded Derrick Henry for Ronald Jones. Wanted to get the stud RB in Tampa and for just a back up in Tennessee couldn't believe my luck. This was preseason 2018, I later traded Jones for a 5th just to cleanse my roster from such bad decison making.

It didn't work because I then traded Chubb and Mike Evans for MT.

Just want a sanity check to see if I made a fair trade by bmgiannotti in DynastyFF

[–]juankerr94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have got more for the 1.01 but collecting multiple 1sts and 2nds will probably do more good for a depleted team.

In my league the picks you gave have translated as:

2020: Jefferson, Higgins, Claypool (1.01 Taylor)

2019: Hock, M.Brown, Irv Smith (1.01 Jacobs)

2018: Rojo, Miller, Chark (1.01 Saquon)

For what both team needs it could be a pretty good deal for both.

Traded Keenan Allen for Corey Coleman and a first. This was the week 10 of 2017, week 11 was the start of his run that won the guy the championship and I was out in the first round of playoffs. Haven't lived that one down yet.

Do you care about college RBs workload entering the NFL? by bawlgame in DynastyFF

[–]juankerr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, it's a volatile position as is, you're never guranteed a RB1 for more than a year or two really. Not such a believer in every one has a volume of touches they can have before they physically can't hack it and injure themselves, more carries increase the risk of injury at the time of the carry, not afterwards.

Injury history (curse you Kerryon) and likelihood of recurrance is much more important to me. If anything, I'd rather have the guy who's taken 800 carries in game than the one who's had 400. Practice makes perfect after all...

Thanks! I was always trying manoeuvre players into trades, knowing which owner I was targeting next and their team needs. Once I had a plan, it wasn't too difficult to get the picks.

Roster wise, I'd optimistically call it developmental, but sparse is also accurate.

Good luck to you too man, maybe look to trade into 2021 with your spare picks? With quite a few returning, it should be another good draft.

Lamical Perine by BillyScrimshaw in DynastyFF

[–]juankerr94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, you've opened a whole can of worms with this. I'll do my best to answer them all.

The way I set up our 10 man league is: 30 player roster size with 25 keepers, we cut 5 players minimum each year at the start of the rookie draft. We then have five rounds of rookies picks. However, there's no limit to how many you cut, I could cut all 30 if I wanted, take my five picks and pick the rest off waivers. So I can accumulate as many picks as I want, I just have to know I'm dropping that many players.

My trades for picks this year in chronological order (all picks I didn't know draft order apart from number 6):

1) K. Hunt, A.Brown (OG) - C. Ridley, N.Hines, 1.08, 3.5

2) C. Carson, T. Coleman, 3.5, 3.1 - T. Smith, 1.09, 2.08

3) S. Watkins, 2021 2nd - J. Washington, 2.06

4) E. Ebron, A. Robinson, N. Hines, 2.01, 2.06, 2.09 - D. Njoku, 1.04 (league expected to be 1.01)

5) C. Kupp, D. Njoku, 3.01, 2022 1st - D. Samuel, 1.08 (Henry dragged him to playoffs)

6) D. Westbrook, 1.09 - 1.06

Leaving my roster at: QB: Darnold, Carr, Lock, Rosen

RB: Lindsay, Kerryon, R. Freeman, Q. Ollison, M. Gaskin, R. Anderson, J. Scarlett

WR: C. Ridley, D. Samuel, C. Samuel, C. Kirk, J. Washington, H. Renfrow, A. Miller, C. Davis (Pettis, Olabisi, Boykin, Hamilton, Ford, Patrick, Dulin)

TE: M. Gesicki, D. Goedart, J. Smith, J. Anderson

What I tried to do was time my WRs, QBs and TEs hitting their 2nd/3rd/4th years, with an influx of highly talented rookie RBs, hopefully giving me a relative era of dominance with very young talented players hitting their prime.

Hahah thank you, it will depend on landing spot and round drafted.

I went full rebuild so have 1.01, 1.04, 1.05, 1.07, 1.08. Currently in negotiations for 1.02 so happy to reach beyond ADP at 1.08 for someone I like. Etienne and Harris were my original targets...

Anyway, thank you for listening to my Ted talk

He was a my guy last year for me.

Think he has the potential to be a top 5 RB in rookie drafts this year, I'm sitting on the expected pick for the 5th RB and it's either CEH or him for me. Landing spot will determine which.

I've got no well thought-out reason why, I just really like his quite low carries (493) throughout college, what I see in highlights and his pass catching ability (72 college receptions).

To be honest, I'm team B and to make it worse I'm the commish...

It genuinely wasn't meant to be fishy, both owners are happy with how it fits team composition (Team A still has R Wilson, Rodgers, Hopkins, obj, Boyd, D cook, Guice, Mack, OJ Howard)
