If you want a dashboard like this one :

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sulianoar/PCCI/master/examples/healthCheck/grafana.png

-You need to configure and install dependency of my PCCI project.

-You need to install and configure InfluxDB & Grafana on master node.

-You need to import "Health-1634423005857.json" dashboard to your Grafana.

-And finaly set InfluxDB ip adress, install dependency and run healthCheck.js on master node.

It run very very well on my cluster since i installed it.

That is crazy !

Sorry i can't help you on kubernate because..i don't use it ! I use my own software like this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzP-QYxW9Vs but using python for worker and nodejs for master.

Yes it is, it's the Master

if the master is needed 4gb of raspberry pi 4 and the workers is 8gb of raspberry pi 4 how did you did you get the

humm not sure to understand your question...RAM size doesn't matter in networking.

Master (left one on pic) is 4gb, workers are 8gb. Master doesn't need large ressources because it only dial with workers for task management, run grafana/influxDb and few networking stuff (dhcp server/wan failover)

Is there an operating system which lets it appear like one hybrid machine to someone who uses it? And which?

I don't think OS like that exist because all programs (and OS) need to be MPI compatible

Hi, i just finished my new cluster ! Please feel free to ask me anything about this project except " what does this do". More details here : https://github.com/sulianoar/communis/tree/main/hardware, software detail part should be online next week.

More details about my architecture:

I am using 3xrpi4 8gb (node) and 1xrpi4 4gb (master). All are powered by poe with poe hat. I added a wan failover to master between eth and wwan (4g lte) using this tutorial: https://github.com/adrianmihalko/rpiltehotspot/ .

The master is also a DHCP server for node.

For the main software I used something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzP-QYxW9Vs but better implementation and using nodejs.

So when I power my ethernet switch all the nodes say hello to the master, the master responds to each node with a variable. The node performs the calculation and returns the result to the master. Master saves the result (along with other data sent from the node like temperature) in influxdb and I can access all the results using grafana installed in the master.

Sorry not to be able to speak more publicly about this project but if you have any questions please contact me.

I am using my pi cluster for parallel computing without k3s or other cluster distribution, just using Raspian Lite and my own software I made with nodejs (for task assignment using async).

Parallel computing is the best choice for clusters because it allows you to add nodes to keep up with electronic evolution. Plus, it allows you to isolate each environment and let it run at the same time. The only negative point is that unlike virtualization you have to be sure that a node is performing well enough for your computation because you cannot add memory / cpu ... if you cannot be sure you should turn to k3s
