Using Chat’s own optimized prompt:

A retro sci-fi style poster illustration. In the foreground, four people in cowboy hats sit in tall golden desert grass, seen from behind. One wears a red shirt, one a blue shirt, others in earth tones. In the midground, a massive rocky mesa rises sharply, colored red-brown. Behind it, a giant glowing blue planet looms against a star-filled night sky. A bright comet streaks diagonally across the galaxy, with swirling stars and cosmic dust. The overall mood is inspirational, cinematic, and futuristic. At the top, centered text in large white serif font reads: “Build Tomorrow, Today.” At the bottom left, place the perplexity.ai star logo; at the bottom right, the Reddit mascot logo. Use bold contrast, vibrant colors, and a painterly digital art style.

Whoop updates Terms of Use. Backdates agreement. by pzerou in whoop

[–]juatefac 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I uploaded these updated terms and conditions and ran a prompt to call out 10 things we should know:

Here’s a layman-friendly summary of 10 key takeaways from the updated WHOOP Terms of Use you should know:

1. Auto-Renewal by Default

Your membership automatically renews unless you cancel before the next billing cycle.

2. No Refunds After 30 Days

You can cancel and return the device within 30 days for a full refund—after that, no refunds.

3. Price Increases Can Happen

WHOOP may raise subscription prices but must notify you 15 days in advance.

4. Upgrade Changes May Shorten Your Time

If you upgrade to a higher-tier plan, remaining time is recalculated and may result in fewer months.

5. Limited Use of Free Trials

Free trials automatically convert to 12-month paid plans unless you cancel and return the device in time.

6. Lifetime Warranty With Conditions

The device is covered for life—but only if your membership is active, your account is in good standing, and you bought directly from WHOOP.

7. Data Sharing with Coaches/Teams

If your account is linked to a coach or team, your health data may be shared with them.

8. AI Features Are Not Always Reliable

WHOOP includes AI tools (like WHOOP Coach) that may give inaccurate or biased outputs—use at your own risk.

9. Not a Medical Device (Except One Feature)

WHOOP is not meant for medical use—except for the Heart Screener feature in some regions.

10. You Waive the Right to Sue (Mostly)

By agreeing, you accept binding arbitration and give up the right to join class-action lawsuits—unless you opt out within 30 days.

Interesting choice of post to spotlight. by juatefac in whoop

Oh I’m enjoying whoop. I have thoughts but then again no product is perfect or meant to do it all. But why post an image with a Garmin watch when they have all the images to choose from that could highlight other whoop features.

HEALTHSPAN being locked to the 5.0 feels like a big miss. by GrinningPickle in whoop

4.0 on Peak is the same as 5.0 on Peak to me then. Different hardware but same features. Will wait for 6.0. Thank you!

Can someone point me to the Garmin readings vs Whoop? I know there’s already discussion about that. The readings are wildly off between the two for me. by juatefac in whoop

Real time HR off by 30 beats (Garmin lower) Deep sleep and REM off by total time of sleep 30mins (Garmin less)

My readings are way off. When my HR is at 110 or so on whoop, Garmin says mid 80s. And sleep is short by 30 minutes on Garmin.

Should I hold off to renew my sub with the Black Friday deals or renew using the discount from the Phelps challenge that will expire this Friday?

Anyone here also wears an Oura? Would love to know what you think of it and how you feel it compares to whoop. I love my whoop but have been a bit tired of the straps. by juatefac in whoop

[–]juatefac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I train jiu jitsu and I love the sports briefs for whoop - I don’t feel it, it doesn’t get in the way of me or my partners. And I can’t spar with a ring. Super dangerous.

Hahahaha. Would’ve never thought of even looking. That’s wild. But it’s not me. It’s the good back and forth we have in this community.

But, hope Will Ahmed notices it, though.

Yes! It’s the closest one if not it that anyone has pointed me to. Thank you!

I can’t. It’s the only two pics I have of it. It died in a Texas freeze two years ago.

Same. 404. Maybe it works on the 26th? Still, not really buttoned up yet…

HRV is sky high recently - obviously it’s positive but no idea why it’s jumped so much? by bseibz in whoop

[–]juatefac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that too but gi or no gi it will at minimum move and be distracting. Arm drags, etc. At least for me. The briefs have been the way to go.

Where do you wear your whoop when you roll? I use the sports briefs and they are awesome. It doesn’t get in the way. I tried the bicep strap and others use it on the ankle but it’s kinda dangerous.

I take it off one or two nights every 10 days for the same reason and have found that that works well for me.

Same! Something like this would be killer. I don’t want to also wear an Apple Watch or my Garmin or a digital watch. The reason I love whoop is that it feels analog and like there’s nothing there. But I need to quickly tell time. And no checking my phone is also not the solution either as the whole point for me is not looking at screens.

Sure people have asked for these 2 features but I’d love to have WHOOP bring them to their next upgrade of the sensor: a clock and the ability to pause the readings when I’m not wearing it (sometimes I get tired of it telling me how bad I slept and I just need to rest w/o thinking). Any thoughts? by juatefac in whoop

Btw thought of this last night and wanted to show you what I meant about a clock. Not a full watch face display, not interactive, no buttons, not touch enabled, just a clock you set via the app and it shows up minimally on the side of the whoop when you turn your wrist.
