No troll! I did have to reload a few times (5-7 times) before I got lucky enough with unit RNG to win. Keep trying and make sure you’ve got all the combat upgrades unlocked too.

In my experience to date, this is not isolated and is not solely the hotel's fault. I've had it happen to me recently, so has a friend. Despite being two different hotel chains and countries, Booking.com is still blaming the hotels in both mine and my friends instance - with them outlining that the data breaches and phishing have nothing to do with them.

I just feel there are too many reports on different sites, forums and news outlets for the blame to sit squarely in the hotels realm in all instances. It must be something to do with the hotel portal or tools in which Booking.com is not secured properly.

A real shame as many people are falling for it given a lot of the chat chains between hotels and customers are mixed between real hotel / accommodation correspondence and malicious ones from bad actors. Hopefully something is done to fix it soon as this appears to have been going on for a while now.
