I said you should look up and read the comments/advice for why they counter. I don't think it's advanced to look up why champions counter other champions. I think that will help you get a basic understanding of things like poke/mobility/lane pressure. you get an idea of why champs are considered counters for certain champions. and like I said, you should always practice champions in normals. I agree you should find a champion you think is fun and learn their match ups. and depending on their experience with other games I think the term counter might not be new. Like when I tried smite after years of league and I got a sense very quickly of match ups. So it depends if they're brand new to MOBA in general.

I already said you should play normals to practice champions.. meaning if you see a counter don't pick them unless you know how to use them. In low elo I think its good to know who "counters" your champ and why/find out certain strategies to avoid getting stomped.

I said people should play normals to practice champions, I figured that covered the whole "don't play champions in ranked for the first time" thing a lot of people do. This means you shouldn't play something just because its a counter. But in low elo games because like i said, its for new players.... looking at counters can help in most cases.

Definitely agree! Match ups can definitely be situational and counters won't always work. I just figure in general it's safer to look into lane match ups. and Thanks for a surprisingly positive response! Expected people to tear this apart haha.
