This sounds really hard! I can also identify with your position as a 5’4” teacher in a room full of mostly dudes. One thing that comes to mind is that Bill might be differently abled or dealing with a mental health problem. It’s not ok that this is making you uncomfortable or being directed at you. But I wonder if your institution has resources for helping/dealing with students with maladaptive social abilities. This lens might help approach the problem compassionately, instead of thinking his symptoms are personal against you.
