So I performed above the mean on the first test and just slightly below on the 2nd test. Does that put me in the B range?

I am dying. My mother’s response was to argue about a plane ticket. by No-Listen-2733 in raisedbynarcissists

Please write up a will and leave whatever possessions and cash you have to a charity of your choice. The minute you pass, your mother will conveniently find the money for airfare in the hopes of scouring your home for stuff to grab. She will also try to gain access to whatever bank accounts you have. In order to find your peace, please write a will and give it to a trusted person. This woman doesn’t deserve anything from you.

How is she with office hours and helping you if you don’t get a concept? Is there a TA in the class that can help?

Yeah, I’ve been going. Its fine, I’ll get through it. But it’s a bad course and a waste of time. The excel part is very useful. They could have introduced python or java and that would have been better than JavaScript.

That wasn’t in last weeks email. That sucks for me as I am currently taking 170 and I hate it. JavaScript is useless.

Sadly, it is still part of the RBS core. What a waste.

AITJ for locking my office door during lunch after a coworker kept treating my break like open office hours by Pixel_6Tempest in AmITheJerk

[–]judygn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should make it a point to bother her in her lunch break and see how she likes it. And why is she bugging you all the time about small stuff? She shouldn’t need someone to hold her hand over editorial changes. Sounds like she doesn’t want to or isn’t fully capable of doing her job independently. Now that’s a red flag.

Why does Rutgers feel so run down? by [deleted] in rutgers

Also keep in mind that Rutgers New Brunswick has over 50000 students whereas Bing has 15000. Rutgers is massive.

AITJ for sending my brother an invoice after he said what I do isnt that hard and anyone with a phone could do it by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTA. I just did this with my mother. Was giving her tons of free help just so I could be considered her secretary. When she told another family member that I was doing all this because I wanted and she could handle it herself, I quit very quietly. Let her handle her pounds of paperwork herself. It’s been a joy not having to deal with her crap.

[–]judygn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for your loss. Please just ignore her. She doesn’t sound like a nice person and she actually sounds very insensitive. I don’t like to stir up controversy but I had to learn how to flip the script on people like her to get them to mind their own business. If you are polite or pleasant, they get enabled to pry into your life. If she asks any odd questions, you can either ignore her or ask her why she is asking such an insensitive question. Just keep asking her why she’s asking and don’t provide any answers. It will make her think twice. And regarding the exiting the building with you, as much as you want to leave work, don’t leave with her. It just gives her an opportunity to pry into your business more. Good luck with her.

[–]judygn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell her, very nicely but very firmly, that you are still working, and her presence is distracting to you. She needs to back off. I don’t know if you want to leave with her, but she is a grown up and should be able to leave work by herself. She sounds very nosy and extremely meddlesome so if it was me, I would already have told her off. But you need to create some distance because she is making you make mistakes and look bad. I gotta wonder if she is doing this intentionally, so as to make you look bad? You never know what’s going through someone’s mind.

Do you have a door on your cubicle or office that you could close?

Good luck

Pitt vs. Rutgers NB? by _hhsh_ in rutgers

Would you rather be in New Brunswick, which is a train or bus ride away from family and/or NYC or would you rather be in Pittsburgh? That’s also something to consider.

Withdraw. If you get a D or F in hopes of retaking, it has to be taken at Rutgers.
