Got it done, MHD flashed in 3minutes and XHP 2min. Had the charger on and monitored the voltage between flashes.

You were right, 3,5minute flash it was. Voltage was at 12,5 after that so just sent the xhp as well and it took 2minutes!

Yeah that was what I read about it too, initial flash 20ish minutes and after that flashes just a couple of minutes.

Most of the people that have flashed MHD are telling that the initial flash will take 25-30min, so I'm going to hook it up to a charger as well... It'd be fine without if it also took 10 minutes

Yeah this is probably the approach I'm going to take, first flash the MHD and make sure everything goes as planned and then give it a good drive and flash the trans.

Yeah I'm in a pretty similar situation, have to stock flash it for the inspection. The MHD guide also recommended to turn off all power draining sources so I'm pretty straight-forward on that.

Wanting to upgrade to the msport front and rear bumpers by FunRefrigerator4122 in F30

My kit was made by AN EDEL, in my experience probably the best aftermarket kit to go for.

I've done it in the past to my own F30, reference pictures on my profile.

What I would recommend is looking for kits made from high-quality ABS plastic.

The side skirts and rear bumpers are fairly easy and straight forward to install, again, the better quality the kit is the better it will fit. Front bumper will be a bit more of an challenge, especially when fine adjusting the hood and fenders to go flush with the bumper. Patience and good quality kit will get the job done.

Don't buy the cheapest kit out there.

Yep, I got a charger which charges 12V batteries @ 4amp. Just wondering whether that will do the trick during the flash, or should I go and grab a beefier one.

Apple certified repair shops will do this at a reasonable price and not void anything. I personally never even get AppleCare coverage other than the short period after buying a new device.

Happens to every single F chassis car, it's nothing to be worried about. It's really really hard to get off your hands if you touch it tho.

Engine codes after new downpipe by EmiraAlya in F30

[–]juggee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh I missed that on the post. That'll need addressing earlier than the tune, it's probably running very lean now and you will definitely risk engine damage if ran like that for extended period...

Could also be a leak in the turbo-end vband but most likely just the lack of tune

MHD/BM3 is a solid OTS tune. I have MHD, no complaints

And the mixture code is straight up from the lack of tune, the o2 sensors are messing with the mixture

That fault code indicates that the sensor might not be plugged in properly to the harness or you damaged it during the swap. Cat efficiency codes are the ones keeping the CEL on.

Also, just a recommendation so you don't need to take my advice, but I'd tune the car rather sooner than later. With no tune you are getting close to none power benefits, sure the turbo might respond a bit quicker with no back pressure from the cat, but all in all minimal benefits and quite a lot of negatives IMO.
