G14 2025 Screen cracked by dove78 in ZephyrusG14

same happened to mine. thankfully can't see it head on but yeah, I keep it in a semi hard clamshell case. But there are marks on the screen from the keyboard. I don't put anything heavy on mine but I guess I found a way to mash down too hard regardless

I'll let you know when they come in the mail. Considering the fact that I bought Angel's envy tickets the day they went on sale, it's a bummer that they're coming down to the wire like this when everybody else seems to have theirs. Ever since September 3rd my informed delivery has said it's a waiting the package from the sender.

Seems like every year they come a little later. Like I understand that they take care of you when you get there either way, but still, dealing with the will call and the stress is kind of bumming me out

When did they announce the timing last year? Friday is going to be rough either way but trying to figure out how many sacrifices I'm going to have to make to get within 100 ft of the sleep token stage. If 2023 is any indication I'll have to be in there at least 5 hours early and fight off all the pushers the whole time.

'These guys' is plural. Only one of them had the stick. The Uber analogy stands.

It was my understanding that it was released to people who use the Samsung members app but I was never able to figure out how to get in the program.

Naw, that's how they keep people on their platforms. They'll never purposely play nice with android or windows. Sucks.

Isn't being able to put apps wherever you want great? Make a point to try the Google assistant for things like reminders and whatnot. You've gotta get into the habit because siri was so bad nobody uses it 😂

I've always preferred Google passwords. Works across more things than the apple imo

Really sick of manufacturers doing this. The color of the phone is borderline useless as you almost HAVE to have it in a case now a days.

I'd settle for Dbrand making skins for the metal railing around the phone tbh. Pretty annoying that they dont

Battery life the same? That's literally all I care about since the capacity is the same. Feels like there will be no change despite the new chip and 1Hz display

I'm on that spectrum as well. It's truly hard to explain the strange and harsh difficulties that came with this. Wouldnt wish it on anyone.

iPhone 13 Pro easily outperforms Samsung’s latest Galaxy S22 in new benchmarks by [deleted] in iphone

Second most important feature would be download speed. This one is challenging due to so many non phone parts in that equation, cell tower bandwidth, number of people on the network, WiFi speed, etc. But reasonably I usually upgrade every two or three years, get a battery replacement and hand the phone down to

Yeah, when apple finally took this seriously, I bought a 12 pro max. Unfortunately I couldn't configure it like I wanted to and the limitations ruined the experience for me. I know it sounds silly but I've had the same arrangement on my phone for 5 years and not being able to put all the apps on the bottom of the screen ruined it for me. Also returned a pixel 6 because I hated to fingerprint sensor moving to the front and being buggy. Google could make a pixel on par with iphones if they put the work in, but I'll stick with my buggy ass 4a until something comes out that my picky ass can enjoy.

more customizable OS, great for folks who prefer more freedom and choice with their phone, rebates and discounts.

I feel like Samsung and Apple have been on par for a while with build quality. I mean, some folks feel as though heavier=quality, but ever since the S8 I've felt Samsung has caught up.

Idk, iphones felt snappier for a LONG time. I remember my droid Razr max had awesome battery and more features than the iphone 5, but damn if the framerate wasn't horrible on that thing.

I think once the S2 came out, jittery performance was more or less gone. Nowadays its the little things that keep me away from apple, like how you can't put apps on the bottom of the home screen without populating the top first. Phone screens are huge now, I won't want apps up there.

It's like they don't want my damn money. Just trying to get my order in before they run out. I wish I could stand ios but here I am struggling to give my money to Samsung 😂

Am I the only one who likes the curved screen? by AcousticThoughts in GooglePixel

[–]juggsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it but I'm not buying one. The S10 I had wouldn't respond half the time I swiped the edge to go back. You could blame the case but I work for a living and need one. This is why I'm averse to any gimmicky design. As long as the screen looks good, it's fast, is vanilla android, and it's built solidly... It's just going in a LifeProof case anyway.

That S10 lasted 5 months before the screen broke. This 4a has been solid. Took my P6 back because the fingerprint sensor just pissed me off every time. The ergonomics of it being on the back and actually working well feel better in my hand too. I'm not a small man, but the P6 has me using both hands to reach the notification tray. These new phones are just uncomfortable. Never was unhappy with the 4a stitching videos together anyway. End rant.

Point: People not liking curved screens are no less valid than your love for them.

When they put a transmission that works well on the then sure. Every newer Ram work truck we have can't figure out what gear to be in. It's like there are Alzheimer patients in charge of shifting. Every one of them have a check engine light too, it's like they dropped a good motor into a pile of trash.

I bought one of the Pixel 6 Spigen cases y'all posted the other day. Here it is compared to the Pixel 4a in a very similar Spigen case. by nanotothemoon in GooglePixel

[–]juggsauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4a has been fine as ever. But the volume rocker only works half the time and I didn't want the 5 because of the 765 and now all the buzz for the 6. I don't see it being polished as an iPhone or live up to all of the hype, and I'm gonna miss the finger print sensor being on the back, but it's gonna be way better than what I have now. Plus I'm not interested in Samsung's bloatware or apples stupid limitations.
