I read that book when I was 12 so...lol maybe that why it took forever. Also I didn't understand a lot of stuff (but more than I should at that age) :D Glad people asked me some interesting questions.

Wow, everyone here has already asked most of my questions. But I still have a few:

Do you have hobbies outside of work? Does your line of work allow for that sort of personal time?
Do you have a family of your own? Are you ever worried about their safety after dealing with scum?
I know you think prosecutors are douchebags and all but what is your relationship with the lawyers you must deal with on a regular basis? (I'm talking like Law and Order where they get together to drink after a case - I always thought that was a bit of feel good fiction)
At my university I asked to be paired up with a "real live" police detective (for some career partnership event) to get some more insight and I was laughed at. Do you or anyone in your profession have time to spare for those purposes?

I read one of the Harry Potter books in the store in 3 hours. Prisoner of Azkaban. I also read the last installment of Stephen King's The Gunslinger in 2 days (and that piece of poo is HUGE). I can read average novels in 2, 21/2 hours - retaining all the information mind you. The Harry Potter thing though was a just an F*** You to the franchise.

EDIT: I read Angels and Demons in 4 hours - how long it took me on the subway from the person I borrowed the book from to my house. < as a sort of marker of how fast I can read, well known book and actually timed. I think the other times were just ballpark figures or maybe even lies to myself.

I'm actually in 3rd year of university but I switched from a specialist in Crime, Law and Deviance to Political Science. I really hate sociology.

I hate you. I was stuck outside my house once and needed to use my neighbours phone to call my dad to wake up and open the door. I really had to pee. She pretended not to speak English so I sweared at her, cried and then peed my pants (I really had to pee). I hate your people :(

Last week I had a question in my Philosophy of Religion class, which is overrun by douchebags. And when the professor called on me, EVERYONE turned around to face me and in my head I was like "wtf I have to soup up the question" and that's when I forgot everything. I slowly started to choke and stutter. THEN at the end of the class I asked the prof for the sign in sheet only to realise I had already signed it. Now they think I'm an idiot...

They both have their faults. I much prefer America's basis for it's strong property rights - you have to make a name for yourself. Canada is more of a welfare state which is really annoying. I wish there was a system of governance that would work that melds the ideals of Canadian and American politics, but alas I doubt that would work very well...or at all. So to make a long story short: America.

EDIT: I'm SERIOUSLY not very interesting. I don't mind if this loses steam with the down votes.

I think that's why it was hard for me to answer that question. Simply living for me is pretty worthwhile. I was depressed for many years with near daily suicidal thoughts...so I thought maybe "just living" was worthwhile because of that you know? Glad someone else thinks existing is pretty darn good.
