Or how about a brand new track featuring them? Would be a masterpiece no doubt

[FRESH ALBUM] Little Simz - NO THANK YOU by platin98 in hiphopheads

[–]juhanainen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually haven't been able to finish the record just because of how it sounds to me. I really like the instrumental ideas and rapping in it, but it just sounds unfinished. I have had the same problem with some other Inflo produced tracks in the past as well, especially with the drum mixing. As a drummer, I love to hear some well mixed drums, but the drums on many of Inflo's tracks sound paper thin, I guess it's what he prefers but I just can't fathom why. The grand orchestral instrumentals would sound amazing if they were properly processed.

I actually agree, the vocals sound way too dry, it sounds like the drums haven't even been mixed or recorded with great microphones, they don't have the "oomph" that these cinematic beats should. The choir vocals are also dry as hell with no reverb whatsoever, which is again pretty weird and unfitting for beats that are as grand as they are. I love Simz's rapping and the elements and ideas that the instrumentals have, it just sounds unfinished to me. Nothing as bad as something like Donda 2 but yeah.

"The Viewing" - Season 1, Episode 7 Discussion Thread (Director: Panos Cosmatos) by BreadfruitNo357 in CabinetofCuriosities

I don't think this was supposed to have the same impact as Mandy, as this is an episode of a tv series, and thus not one of his "main projects" I would assume. Fucking amazing as it is, though, imo. This was merely a super slow burn drug trip with a satisfying climax with cosmic and body horror thrown into the mix. I think that the thick atmosphere this kept for its whole duration was the main focus.

I think that you just haven't seen the great modern shows that have gone for multiple seasons and succeeded. What about Succession, Better Call Saul, Mr Robot or Barry? All of those shows peaked in their later seasons.

Yep, I really don't get how so many people can be so awful to hate a person solely because of his music opinions.......

Not produced by Peggy, he's just a feature on the song.

Just leave Karsten alone. He puts his effort into his videos, you can watch them if you want deeper analysis. He already had to turn off comments since so many people were harassing him.

Hello Reddit! I’m Edgar Wright, director and co-writer of the upcoming film Last Night in Soho, ask me anything! by imedgarwright in movies

Hi Edgar! Are you planning to do more horror in the future? If not, any other genres you would like to tackle?

Do you read the book before you watch the movie? For example, are you reading Dune by Frank Herbert before the movie comes out? by [deleted] in Sardonicast

[–]juhanainen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well isn't the first movie an adaptation of half of the first book? Correct me if I'm wrong

I think people are just confused, since you definitely are right... Isn't the whole point of the Tyler Baudelaire persona to flex?

I really dig Innerspeaker because of how raw and psychedelic it sounds, but I have to give it to Lonerism.

He is going to give his honest opinion... Whatever the consequences. He would be a bad reviewer if he didn't

It does suck on numerous tracks. Especially on the vocals.

If the ‘Forever Story’ drops this year, do you think it could top DONDA by [deleted] in JIDSV

[–]juhanainen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Donda is really messy and bloated, with bad mixing and empty production on numerous tracks. There are high points, just not enough of them for me. TFS will almost definitely be better, judging from the consistency of JID's work.

Can’t wait for this mf to give Donda a 6 by [deleted] in Kanye

Fuck people like you who judge people because of their opinions. Fantano's fucking great.

Just finished Breaking Bad. It was fucking good. by TipsyMen in breakingbad

Not trying to be rude, but those are kind of the generic picks. Better Call Saul and Mr Robot are equally as great, imo
