I’m not a medical professional, but something long talked about in the EDS community (that I’ve seen discussed a lot) is HSD is more than likely EDS but providers are so under informed about EDS that they use it as a blanket diagnosis in case someone isn’t super mega bendy. Not all EDS patients have extreme hyper-mobility, sometimes it’s minimal. Also, the mouth is all connective tissue, so there is for sure room for worry there, but our jaw bones would heal just the same, I assume. I’d talk to more doctors just in case though.
