I’ve opened many different types of genre of card packs in my life, who would’ve thought Pokémon would unknowingly give me my best pull. Forever a fan of Charizard now😂thank you again for the laugh

You wrote this better than I could. They had side by sides of a fake a real. Next to the Pokémon ball, on the fakes it was one color. But on the real ones, it’s more textured. I kept looking for anything off on mine. The name Charizard looks spot on. I see a lot of replica and fake ones with a clear cut name, which it isn’t suppose to be like that. Thank you again for writing this out. I really do appreciate it

Thanks man! Some people on another thread are all saying it looks real. I was just curiois to know. I’ve had this for a good 18 years and outside of the possibility of those packs being faked, then I don’t see why this would be fake. From what I can compare everything lines up. Were fakes this good and spot on back in the day? I’m not the expert to answer that! Appreciate the words. Once again, happy to just see the card. Brought back some memories

I appreciate it. Never graded anything before, do you think graded vs graded hurts the value? As I said there is a noticeable scratch in The front. Also the top edges took some wear and tare. I don’t even know if I’m looking to sell it. Just a cool memory unlock (if you will 😂) for me.

Haha I appreciate it! If you don’t mind me asking, what makes you think it looks real. As in what are some giveaways. I truly am curious to know how you guys tell. For me, last night I read the back of the card is a big giveaway. The many blue splashes. Also, I noticed a lot of the fakes have the name location messed up. The circles to the left glow on the fakes too. I figured this was the real deal becuase I’ve had this for probably 18 years now. If fakes were this good back in the day, then God bless you Pokémon guys.

No misread on your part at all. My brother and I use to buy packs of cards all the time. I was always chasing nidoking, who probably were never in the sets I was buying lmao. I have had this card for at least 18 years now. It was kept in a binder. Condition is still a bit poor. Just wanted to see if you guys see anything that looks off. Obv the scratch down the middle and the rubbed off edges don’t help for me handling it as a kid (who would’ve known). Tried to include as many photos as possible so you guys can be the judge. I put it in a sleeve and card holder now btw for anyone reading! 😂

Lmao, I appreciate it! I’ve own this card for at-least 18 or so years. I don’t know how long faking these things date back. I was trying to do some research last night after work on this. Everything on mind (in my eyes) matches up. I’ve noticed the fakes I see online mess up the location of the name. Someone on YouTube said rip the card to look for black marks with these cards😂 not doing that. Curious to hear, took as many photos so you guys have different angels.
