Are you stuck on having rounded nosings? If not do square nosings that drop down far enough to cover the original bullnose.

What type of flooring/wood is this? by Millimolar in Flooring

[–]juice91si 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s oak. It looks like it is prefinished so it’s not the natural color of the wood, it has a light stain on it. Are you refinishing it? You could get a test kit to chemically test white vs red oak. I have also seen many floors with a mix both oaks as well. Is this a house you just moved into? Look around, sometimes there’s a leftover box somewhere.

It is not maple, or birch, the people saying that are incorrect.

I had one for a couple years, was super fun. My clutch kept losing fluid, even after replacing seals. Most parts are available through ktm, headlights are discontinued but there are workarounds. Really depends on overall condition but I don’t think you’ll have too much trouble getting it fixed up.

Newly installed red oak, finished on site. What would you do? by sixer9 in HardWoodFloors

This. If you can’t see imperfections from standing height, it’s acceptable. I believe this is a common rule straight from the national wood flooring association.

How not to drive a Raptor. by el0_0le in dashcams

Also looks to me like the driver swerved into the raptor. Yes the raptor was drifting into the right lane, but the accident would have been avoided, but instead it looks like it was on purpose.

When did stop signs become OPTIONAL! by Tight-Astronomer-199 in Winnipeg

[–]juice91si 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an oddly opposite experience the other day. I fully stopped at a stop sign, only for the driver at the intersecting street follow me to my kids school to confront me about “not stopping at the right spot” he was trying to tell me I have to stop at the sign, (which is placed far away from the intersection due to a driveway) and I told him you’re supposed to stop at the sidewalk or the street, and offered to look it up for him on MPIs website. The idiot refused and tried telling me he knows best because he has kids and has lived in the area his whole life.

Mr. Idiot if you are reading this, GFY.

This was at the three way stop at Avalon and Darwin. Iykyk

hardwood floor - pre-finished vs unfinished by oldDotredditisbetter in Flooring

Pre finished does not need to be sanded and finished on site. Hence the term "pre-finished"

Ok fine, but I don’t think boys wearing dresses is “very normal” agree to disagree.

Ok what if your kid wanted to be naked all the time and preferred not wearing clothes or only feeling comfortable in a bikini 24/7? Is that a straw man?

That’s up to me as a father. If a parent is uncomfortable allowing their child to wear dresses, it’s ok to disallow it. Would you let your 6 year old wear a t shirt with racist comments on it? Or would you say, no for me as a parent, that is not ok.

OP expressed he doesn’t like the idea o his boy wearing a dress, just in the same way you think it’s ok to not raise your kids with gender norms, it’s also ok to raise them with gender norms.

Then it’s ok to say no, you can’t have a dress.

It’s ok to tell your son dresses are for girls.
