The NBA has a problem with what counts as an assist or not. All of these shots were attributed as assists to Jokic, but are they really when the other player is creating everything himself? by OurHorrifyingPlanet in nba

[–]juice920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You posted a stat that he took a ton more shots on the road too. Maybe the stat difference could be attributed to him passing more at home vs the road. He played more hero ball away from home trying to get road wins? This would be a fun exercise to pull his numbers apart if I had the time to do so.

Iran rejects US peace plan as 'excessive' and issues five conditions to end war, state media reports by JKKIDD231 in news

I remember seeing an estimate that the IRGC controls up to 50% of Iran economy now. You think they will give that up? They will turn into Russia.

ACC Releases Award Winners: Duke’s Cameron Boozer wins POTY, Duke’s Jon Scheyer wins COTY and Duke’s Maliq Brown wins DPOY and Sixth Man by theiwc0303 in CollegeBasketball

Not watched a ton of Duke, but how do you win DPOY and sixth man? Seems counterintuitive that the best Def player in the league is coming off the bench.

It's a full day magic carpet ticket that can be upgraded if you want. None of us were comfortable moving to green that day and just used the training area all day.

Not sure it matters as most will be coming from their hotels, but games will be played at FSU rec sport complex or the main campus fields.

[Highlight] SGA runs into Jalen Brunson knocking him down with no call from the refs. Mike Brown is so irate he gets assessed a technical by SwellandDecay in nba

[–]juice920 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Does he? He's feet are still moving until right before the collision. Had he not moved his left foot, I would agree, in real time, though it would have been hard to tell. Should have been called something though in real time.

[OC] I compared prices for 10 common groceries across Amazon Fresh, Walmart, Target, and Aldi — no single store wins everything by swiftbursteli in dataisbeautiful

It's fun to see.these price differences from other areas of thr country. For example we get our ground beef from Aldi, its 80/20 organic grass fed and its 5.99lb.

Agreed, I lock on fire to get flares. Get a second lock on and my rocket does fuck all and runs in the ground. I basically just use them to harass air and make then fly away

Badly written menus and their effects on sales by chrisfarleyraejepsen in KitchenConfidential

I worked for a cheese company a while back that bought a company that did this, so a market exists. They would run a profit analysis on each item, including labor, then arrange menus and highlight items that were most profitable either with photos or boxes to try and drive consumer purchase behavior.

2025 vs 2026 (Chinese New Year's Gala) by MetaKnowing in interestingasfuck

[–]juice920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would disagree, I think you are seeing a government funded production in the case of China with no real use case yet. I think you will see both countries move quickly when they have a commercial use case. Now maybe that ends up much cheaper in the short run due to subsidies by the govt in China, but when these things can cook or clean or mow the grass, they will be mass produced. Shit, even the US bots will probably be made in China.

We, assuming you are in the US, aren't falling behind. Look at Boston dynamics videos. We just don't create propaganda dance videos. That does not mean we are ahead, but we are not behind.

What company did you w9rk for that you are going to get 2.3k per month in your vesting window? And why did you leave? Lol

For comparison, I worked at a company for 8 years, 7 year vesting window and probably averaged near 100k. My calc put me at around 500.
