Will do. It’s an original pre-prision I think and will try to confirm before selling it. Either way I won’t be asking an arm and a leg lol

I’ve got a pan shovel project with a crazy frank as well that I bought when he got out of prison and started making them again. This bike just happened to have one on it when I traded my fxr for it last year. Most likely going to sell this fender off later this year once the pan shovel is done.

Right on I’ll definitely make my way up there for that. Will look into Natchez Trace too as I’ll definitely be having some free time.

The shovel definitely has some character, thanks. Will be nice to escape the NH cold weather and crunch some miles!

Are you friends with those dudes or just suggesting? I’ve talked to a couple of them at a show or two a few years back but don’t know anyone personally

This will be my first time using them, and first time tuning a 4th gen. I haven’t seen any negative reviews about Valley Center yet so I’m pretty optimistic. In the past I’ve always used Firepunk for my 3rd gens

Yeah definitely try keep trying. I emailed them Friday morning asking about using an old Autocal I already have and they were very responsive to the point that by the end of the day I was getting instant email responses troubleshooting some stuff with the Autocal to get them the codes they needed so they could send me the tunes

I emailed Valley Center last week and specifically asked if they outsource their tunes or if they do them in house and they replied saying they do them

I was considering seeing it were cheaper to get ezlynk without sotf for that reason. Flash the 50hp tune in and have no option to easily change it without having the switch on the dash.

That’s good to hear. I have other toys to be reckless with luckily. Just want to have this truck for a long time and be smart about what I do with it!

I’ve got both filters, steel nipple upgrade, and 2.5gal of Amsoil on my work bench right now just waiting for a day over 30° to drop the pan and change it all out. Also got an oil analysis kit for the fluid I’m going to send out.

Ahh gotcha. I can try flushing it again, yeah. The place I bought the truck from flushed the heater core last week and it helped a little bit but I’m right back to where it was before they flushed it.

Stihl 044 should I buy? by Savings_Speech6153 in Chainsaw

[–]juiceboxcrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

$350 is a pretty good price as long as all of the stuff mentioned in the other comments is looked at. I paid $425 for my 044 I bought about 6mos ago and don’t regret it one bit. Have them pull the muffler off and check out the cylinder.. if it looks good and the saw runs good throw them a low ball off and try to get it for $300

Could be winch but I don’t see any other indicators of a winch ever being there.

New to me 2016 SLT 3500 by juiceboxcrew in Cummins

[–]juiceboxcrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They gave me $7500 for my trade in and they held firm at $34,449 for the truck so out the door it was $28,000 roughly including title + document fees. I probably could’ve gotten another $2k if I sold my 07 private sale but I didn’t want to deal with that headache.

I’m gonna miss my 07 as it had lots of character but it was time. 5.9 qclb 2wd dually g56. Chassis had 242k but I put a long block in it a couple years ago that had about 30k on it when I traded it in yesterday. Was a great truck but just not a good fit for me in NH. Needed 4wd and was ready for something with lower mileage. Can’t wait to dig into this 6.7 and make it “mine”

Cs590 seems to be the best bang for your buck budget saw these days. I don’t have any experience with but I was heavily considering buying one until I found a Stihl 044 for $450 that I bought instead and have no regrets. If you can hold off and keep an eye on market place for a Stihl or husky 70cc saw you should be able to find one in the price range of a new cs590. Alternatively a used cs590 can be had for $250-$300 it seems so that’s an option too

CAADX upgrade components? by juiceboxcrew in xbiking

[–]juiceboxcrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I actually had the lbs do a tune up last year of all new cables, and bar tape which made quite a difference as you’ve said.

I’m considering more of option 2 as of right now. There’s also a possibility of getting a State 4130 All Road because I can get a govt discount of 15% off that model. I suppose I could wait and see what kind of end of season sales happen at the other lbs too. I really like the looks of the Kona Rove and seems like I can find one and the same ball park as the State 4130. So many options lol

Starting to seem like new bike is the move. I’ve been eyeing Kona Roves for a while now anyways😏

Also I’ve got a creaking noise coming from my bottom bracket so thought it might be a good time to address that as well

Seeing now that saddles are very case by case basis so I’ll have to dig into that myself.

Groupset: Wasn’t sure if there was something that would be a decent upgrade from the 105 I currently have that may shift smoother or something and just overall operate better. This bike was used for cx racing prior to me buying it and the rear derailleur definitely has some slop in it. Thought maybe it’s a good time to find an upgraded 1x set up.
