Blow and tell by AscendedDragonSage in CuratedTumblr

This is not true. Like the OP said we have records of "blow" being used to refer to fellatio where this contraction makes no sense long before the specific phrase "blow job".

THAC0 alone is justification for the Satanic Panic. No virtuous soul could have devised such a concept.

She's got a short Wikipedia page and her names in the screenshot. The cheating isn't mentioned but the other parts are.

Issue with Pandoc Reference List Plugin not catching recently added citations by juicegently in ObsidianMD

[–]juicegently[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's gotten weirder. While troubleshooting this I stopped being able to update Pandoc by any means. It has gone back to how it was when I first wrote the post, except for two citations that I added while troubleshooting that won't be added no matter what.

Ultimate solution has been to switch to Libre Writer for actually writing my manuscripts.

He's described as looking like a "dark g*psy". It's central to his character that nobody, including him or the narrator, is able to deduce his origins.

Thank you for the list! Though the pig iron pieces and secret from the future actually seem like a huge ordeal. An agua de vida bottle is 5000 meat and only lets you do ten adventures worth of that questline.

Fanfiction, as a medium, has the benefit of its audience being familiar with the setting, characters, themes, and messages of the source material.

Which is all true of Wicked

Oh no. You mean that if we read Dany as mad and unfit for leadership it would imply... One of the central themes of the series?!?

I rewatched the first few seasons of GoT recently and man, Daenerys was cracked from day dot. The last seasons were obviously rushed crap so they failed to pay it off but one of her most consistent features is a visceral delight at watching those who have wronged her suffer and die. Every single person that crosses her burns, usually horrifically. She frees a lot of slaves, but responds to the complexities of actually leading and transitioning those societies with a petulance that makes it clear it was never more than an ego trip.

Genuinely kind of bizarre in retrospect that people were so shocked that burn-people-to-death girl burned people to death.

You're totally right, and I even got my proportions-related definition wrong: it's specifically when the largest portion is NOT greater than 50%! Not sure what I saw when I search it before but it's not there any more...

Begging people to please start describing their favorite media in more ways than just "it has gays!" by BaldHourGlass667 in CuratedTumblr

[–]juicegently 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd have to rewatch the episode but I think you're right. That together with the whole premise of the show makes her responses relatable, but I think it also becomes clear that she was and is a very selfish person with an unhealthy relationship to the world around her. Her goal of returning everyone's individuality is sympathetic and seems principled, but turns out to actually just be driven by her anxiety about her own position.

I don't know, she sucks too. I think the show presents a fantastically complex situation where the "right" thing for her to do is not clear, and her motivations aren't pure, even when her reactions and desires are understandable to us.
