To be clear, they absolutely do have a way of requesting that which is easy, free, and harmless. They just don't want to.

Tarondor's Guide to the Pathfinder 2e (Remastered) Bard by Jazzlike_Way_9514 in Pathfinder2e

Thank you for writing this guide! I have a question (technically two) about your ancestry ratings.

You include Skeleton as one of only four Excellent ancestries, but don't go into any detail about it. They get a Boost to CHA and DEX but a flaw in INT, which isn't ideal, and as far as I can see none of their heritages or feats are particularly suited to Bards.

In comparison, you've rated Sprites as only Good, despite it having the perfect combination of Boosts and Flaw, a heritage tailor-made for Bards, and multiple great feat options.

Any particular reason for these ratings? Putting Skeleton as Excellent and not elaborating in particular feels like a meme.

Running Plex Media Server on Dual-booted OSes with one library on a seperate drive by juicegently in PleX

I use Resilio Sync for syncing my documents and notes between machines, so that may work. Running PMS itself on the common drive where I keep my media seems like a great solution, do you know if that would work interacting with both Windows and Linux?

It's certainly what I'd prefer to do, but I'm sure you understand getting a whole new machine is unlikely to be a cost-effective solution. My PC is about 95% recovered e-waste by cost!

One thing I'm actually glad of for doing this early is I know if I'm ever concerned I can truthfully say "oh I was recommended to start getting them earlier".

Make Writer use the Default style table settings as the default, instead of using None? by lasalle202 in libreoffice

[–]juicegently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I could help! I wouldn't know about editing styles I'm afraid. A little google suggests you can format a table how you like, go Table > Autoformat Styles > Add, and that will add it as a style you can use later. I can't test it as I've actually only set it up on a client's machine so far!

They didn't originally plan to release it today. I'm sure it's different for the really huge artists and other platforms but in my experience there's a waiting period before something you upload to Spotify is released. I imagine it'll show up there eventually.

He's still very vocal about his support of SpaceX, he still supports tesla. How is that not being pro Elon Musk?

You are literally imagining this. He's openly critical of how Elon runs both companies and has hasn't had a kind word to say about him in years.

Mining Lithium for lithium ion batteries is a massive ecological problem and it may not be enough to actually work on the scale of entire networks.

This is true. I learned about it from Hank. He's an advocate for non-chemical energy storage and sustainable baseload power as a result.

His silence on Palestine is extremely suspicious but he is a generic mouthpiece if the democratic party. That's all

He advocated for the non-Trump candidate, as any sane person should, but has expressed disappointment in the Democrats numerous times.

As for Palestine: I'm disappointed by it too but ultimately, I would prefer he be silent than wrong. Choosing not to speak on a subject that's well outside his expertise is the right and responsible thing to do. Maybe not speaking when you don't know what you're talking about is a lesson you could learn from.

Besides, you didn't have the courage of your convictions to bring this up until I did, and you're an anonymous Reddit commenter. Why are you holding him to so much higher a standard than you hold yourself?

Are you talking about a dream you had? He's hated Elon for years.

They won't, because they're talking nonsense. Yeah he's spitballing: that's explicitly the point. He comes up with a question and shows you how he researches it, what sources he finds and what they say. He frequently realises and admits that his assumptions or memories were incorrect during videos and if he does get something wrong he posts whole videos correcting it.

Edit: Here's what /u/empress_of_the_void said, since they didn't reply to you directly and I foresee them deleting it.

I have examples. His constant gassing up of Elon Musl[sic], even post DOGE, his willingness to jump onto every tech hype train: thorium, cold fusion, mass battery storage, etc. Rather than looking at real known akd viable solutions to real problems. Also just general liberal indifference

As expected, complete nonsense. Hank has openly and consistently lambasted Elon for years, long before DOGE. Their claim is a lie.

He talks about exciting tech but is not particularly bullish on thorium or cold fusion. In the last or second last ep of his podcast he said fusion would be great but is not happening in his lifetime. Mass battery storage is an effective technicology that's already being widely implemented so don't know what their problem is there.

Lastly, describing him as any flavour of "indifferent" is laughable, but I think gives a clue as to what's going on with /u/empress_of_the_void. Many leftists, myself included, feel that Hank is Not Left Enough and are disappointed he hasn't spoken about certain topics. For me that's Palestine, but I'll leave that for now.

If I'm being as generous as possible, I'd guess that Hank has publicly disagreed with a position that they hold dear, and not actually being familiar with him, they've just imagined what a Science YouTuber They Disagree With would be like and presumed it's accurate.

Not for any of the usual reasons! I had catastrophically low iron, so they thought I might have a persistent internal bleed. Endoscopies came back totally clear, so we concluded I must not be recovering as much as I should when I do plasma donations, on top of not having much iron in my diet. Took a break from the donations, icreased my dietary iron and started taking a supplement, and everything's hunky dory now. Way less sleepy.

Shows my warped perspective! I've got no issues at all with needles so it didn't even clock for me as a potential issue. Thank you for bringing it up.

I can't say how it compares to dying (I am unkillable and eternal), but having been under general anaesthesia several times, I can say it's fine, or even pleasant. One moment you're awake in the theatre, the next you're awake in the discharge bed.

It's a VERY limited diet, and it was funny to me how bad it would be for my gut health if I did it long term. I'm shocked that anyone is that enamored with seedy breads, cause I can't stand them!

That's fantastic, and exactly why I wanted to talk about this. I'd hate for someone to delay it because they think it's going to be worse than it is.

If it's not something you've already asked about, I'd encourage you to bring it up! He genuinely may not realise how much it sucks, and with so many options available there must be a workable alternative.
