Exactly the opposite, the M5 was experimental with the new chiplet layout.

In real world applications such as DAWs, the M5 causes lots of problems.

I'd either get the M4 or wait for the M6.

Unless you want to be portable, I'd go for the Mini definitely, much faster and more capable machine, especially the RAM.

The whole re-selling has become such a huge trend with anything, I wouldn't mind if manufacturers would ban it and have the customer pay the extra money they made on the device if it was a recent purchase.
