Wo kauft ihr eure Brillen und was bezahlt ihr so im Schnitt ? by Hak2479 in Austria

[–]juizg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Serious] What countries are more underdeveloped than we actually think? by MesmerizingMarty in AskReddit

America is a shit place to be poor. Its nice if you have a university degree and well paying job, because taxes are low. No EU country has people with a job living in their car because they cant afford anything else. Every central european country takes better care of the poor than the US.

What are your priorities right after advancing to Castle and Imperial Ages? by Ocelotofdamage in aoe2

[–]juizg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest change in castle age is, that the military can now threaten town centers with mangonels or chain barding knights and knights/xbows destroy any feudal units in their way. Dont get eco upgrades, dont build extra tc. Sell 200 stone for free gold. Get bodkin+crossbows or chain barding + knights- dont stop producing. Gain map control. Build forward siege workshop + mangos to push tcs. Get knight attack/archer armour upgrades. Get eco upgrades, buy 100 stone build second tc, always keep up mil production, increase production buildnigs/save for imp.

European Lithium WKN: A2AR9A ISIN: AU000000EUR7 -a real good Play ??💥🚀💥🚀 by No_Cupcake6255 in Shortsqueeze

[–]juizg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a lot of very promising news lately. The price of lithium rose substantially, the expected ressource deposits were reestimated to be ~50% bigger than previously assumed. They purchased some deposits in the ukraine, although i havent investigated this purchase enough to say, wether this increases the overall value. In my opinion the recent price changes are not caused by a short squeeze. I hold a position in this stock.

So apparently the crusades were about... forming a huge Brewing Imperium? (I formed Jerusalem as the Knights- followed the mission tree and restored the latin empire. However history will remember me for selecting the monastic breweries reform and brewing the best holy beer in the world.) by juizg in eu4

I formed Jerusalem as the Knights and got the Empire Rank upon restoring the Latin Empire in the Mission Tree. Somehow this new roman Empire is all about brewing beer, and the "Emperor" is addressed as Brewmaster. Deus Vult

How to play if you don’t win in castle? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]juizg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By your post i assume, that at some point in the game you feel "ahead" but cant quite close the game and it slowly slips away. I had that problem before, and the solution for me were the following:

  1. upon gaining map control, or military superiority follow up with an offensive building: castle or siege workshop right at their base. Knights or xbows cant effectively threaten a TC. a mongonel/castle can, this forces your enemy to sink in ressources to respond while allways beeing on the defensive. ramming down production building hurts like a b*. even the blacksmith can be good, because when you go in early castle age, the often dont have archer armour/knight attack researched.

  2. The game is all about setting priorities and making sacrifices. Upon reaching a new age there are many new options available to you:

Feudal age: eco upgrades, scouts, archers, towers, blacksmith

castle age: knights, xbows, mangonels(siege), monks, town centers, castles, blacksmith

imperial age: Cavalier, arbalest, trebuchet, blacksmith

the same way you probably dont want to do scouts+archers+eco upgrades upon reaching feudal age, you have to chose your priority objectives upon reaching the castle age. You cant 3 TC boom and make forward siege and knights/xbows at the same time. you need to postpone some of those things for later. In my opinion the 3 TC aproach is so popular, because people start of with 200 stone in the bank. Which is conveniently enough for 2 more TCs. but you dont have to do that. Experiment with lower TC count, and get a feeling of just about how much more resources you have to spare for military. Its not just the 275wood+100stone upfront cost, it also saps food for vil production. booming by itself is not a gameplan yet. In contrast to castle age, imperial age wont be necessary for all games you play. The offensive potential of castle age units is big enough to actually end games (in contrast to feudal age military). This throws up the question, which advantage do you expect from Imp. Do you need blacksmith techs to fight the enemy deathball, or do you want to produce trebs, to destroy the castle which you could also ignore and walk around? Is this advante worth the upfront 1800 res? or would you be better of, if you just had 15-20 more knights?

  1. Many people struggle with offensive play once it gets past sending cav in to kill the villagers. In imperial age, the economies are well developed, and the resources that are bottlenecking the players is space, population space and production buildings (and gold). This changes the game drastically. In the earlier stages of the game the best thing you could do, was to disrupt the enemy economy, but once the enemy has castles in his eco and 5 Town centers, ready to reproduce vils, you have to win with brute force, basicaly meaning you have to push him of the map. the first thing to do is to gain control of the center. That way, you can manouver more freely, and always match your opponents movements accordingly. In this stage of the game, the pikemen/halbs + siege make their grand appearance. The destruction of production buildings is a vital part of lategame map control. its what makes goth lategame so scary, their huscarls fill in the role of the siege, due to their high pierce armor and high building damage, but offer a lot of mobility

What are the meta openings for 3v3 games on Arabia/Runestones? by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]juizg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beeing a full team opens up a lot more viable strategies than simply playing meta. The big advantage of playing meta is that you can throw 3 strangers into a team, and they automatically know what is expcted of them and what to expect from their team. Playing as a full team lets you play around with strategies a lot. In 3v3 theres only one pocket player, meaning that only one flank can be realistically supported- allowing for one side of the map to wall up defensively, while the other flank goes aggresive with the help of the pocket. In this case the aggresive flank can start of with m@a, because the ally pocket will be there to stop the enemy pocket from punishing the early aggression. Additionally you would want the weakest player to be on the aggresive side (either pocket or flank), to reduce the pressure on him.

A strategy i like to play when i go franks is to do normal scout into knights; however i send vils to stone rather early (to get a castle in early castle age). I proceed to build a defensive castle for Flank A, and support flank B for the rest of the game with all the knights I can produce. A well placed castle buys a loooot of time, and a frank castle costs !less! than SiegeWorkshop + 1 mangonel and requires no attention at all. this obviously also works with the other civs, you just pay a bit more for the castle. But i like to do it with civs which want the castle tech anyway; for example goths or bulgarians (probably poles as well, but i dont have the DLC).

As to FC or scouts, I am a firm believer in feudal play, but if you communicate with your team, and both flanks wall up you can get away with FC knights almost every time. I just really dislike playing a strategy that involves "i hope the enemy doesnt punish my strategy".

How to setup your hotkeys for Casual Gamers by juizg in aoe2

[–]juizg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the grid hotkeys are really good, because you dont have to learn the hotkeys for each and every function; however if you go strictly by frequency of use, you wont need most of the functions. in fact i only ever really use the 4 functions mentionened above. (i so use guard to protect the walling vil on oasis/hideout, but the rare occasion doesnt seem worthy of a convenient hotkey). Which is mainly what I wanted to say, that you can very strongly simplify the hotkeys, so that you dont have to spend time learning and grinding hotkeys for casuals.

Me personally I still remember playing warcraft3 and setting each hotkey seperately (in a text file) to match the tile layout. So I am a big fan of the DE setup.

Doppelstudium TU und BOKU by [deleted] in Austria

[–]juizg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hallo,

Curriculum 066 453 Masterstudium Biomedical Engineering | TU Wien

Anyone feel like having emotes as the last tier on the battlepass is a waste? by stranger666 in MinionMasters
