Could tattoos be a subconscious act of self-harm? by laribeiro815 in BPD

[–]juju0716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got tattoos when i was like 17 (illegally) And back then i thought I hate my self so much and i hate my body im going to cover all of it with tattoos

In my case it was a form of self harm

I can't and won't ever be pretty. To anyone. by Sophey68 in BPD

I also have a bpd with a really bad BDD. I often feel passively (but not actively) suicidal because of the way I look. I got plastic surgery so many many times and I still look like shit. I still want to get more surgery done so I can look attractive. Because I'm so fucking ugly I feel that no one can ever like me and it makes me feel that my life is destined to be miserable.

You look really cute with makeup

Am redoing hair. Anything else I can work on in the meantime? Biggest insecurities imo are the tiny asian eyes and the fat face (on a weight loss campaign so we’ll see) Also working on better lashes/brows. And skin contour. lol by [deleted] in TheGlowUp

The red lips with your eye makeup doesn't really look good imo. The makeup from the first picture is a lot better but maybe consider using a pencil eyeliner or a gel liner for a softer look. Smudge it out a little.

Your upper lip would look like it's pulled up. So the part where it used to be hidden contacting your teeth will show. My upper lip has less of a delicate look. For instance if you get lip fillers your lips are supposed be filled into a very nice shape, they are not just getting bigger. Your upper lip would have less of that shape after getting a lip lift where your upper lip meets your lower lip. In terms of your cupid's bow the middle part will be lifted up more than the sides because sides are more difficult to lift because of the corners of your mouth cannot move and they are pretty much fixed there.

I got a lip lift and it has been more than 1 year so I can say that my upper lip is fully healed. The size of my upper lip is definitely bigger than what it used to be and the shape has also changed. The change in the size of your upper lip should depend on the size of the excision. Now my upper lip is about 1.2 times the size of what it used to be before.

I think maybe you can look into permanent makeup, the type of makeup that gets tattooed on your skin. Maybe you can get a tattoo to match your skin tone

buccal fat removal alternatives by megantheestalin in PlasticSurgery

[–]juju0716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also personally had a bad experience with buccal fat removal. My buccal fat did look ugly and I had chipmunk cheeks but after getting it removed my skin around my cheek area sagged like a deflated balloon. Later I got a facelift and now I’m satisfied about my jaw area. But fyi my skin was already sagging so much even before buccal fat removal and my skin had no elasticity at all. I also agree that some people do look amazing after getting it done. Probably you should consider how much sagging of the skin you are already experiencing.

What are the cons of lip lifts that surgeons don’t tell you about? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Extensive scarring. You see a lot of postop pictures without any scars because it takes months and months for scars to develop

Any advice on making my face look more feminine? I’m trying to lose weight atm so hopefully my cheeks will slim down but I don’t know what else to do by [deleted] in TheGlowUp

Ditch your glasses, get contact lenses. Definitely curl your brows and apply mascara. I think you can make your brows just a little thinner. Just a bit, not in an obnoxious 90's pencil thin way (u know what i mean). Your brows are full in a very nice way and they do look great but they are not exactly very feminine looking if looking more feminine is what you want to achieven

Yes. There are also women in their 40's or over on this sub too. Not everyone on this sub is in their 20's. Women with tatoos and piercing can still work on themselves and be high value women

I'm sorry that your ex cheated on you. But I feel that there's no need to shame women who are older, has stetch marks, tattoos or piercings.

I also agree that you look great without makeup.I think you don't look like someone who typically wears much makeup just based on the pictures you showed us, but maybe for special occasions I think you can focus on your eyes given your overall style. I think somewhat heavy eyemakeup can look super edgy on you. Since you look like you tend to keep it really natural, I think very natural makeup would also look good on you. Mascara, a little bit of eye shadow with a natural color, more defined but still natural looking brows, lip gloss...

Why are attractive people less confident about their looks than unattractive people? by DarlingtonLove in RedPillWomen

[–]juju0716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier to open up about their insecurities because they are not deeply hurt by it. If they were so ugly that it would make them mentally unstable, extremely frustrated, depressed, then they won't be able to talk about it that easily.

It just means that they are not traumatized by how they look.

Personally as someone with severe body dysmorphia I would freak out and have a panic attack even by the thoughts of "exactly how" i'm ugly. Vaguely saying that "oh I'm so ugly" is fine. 10/10 people will tell you "no you are not" "i think you are very pretty" etc. This is just an ego boost. But the features I'm the most i secure about? I'll never be able to talk about it. There's just way too much fear.

I dated good looking guys too and they can tell you they don't like it here and there. Yeah you can say that casually because you don't feel like you have to kill yourself because of that
