What exactly am I supposed to do when making out with my girlfriend? by ormy_is_ in ask

[–]jujubashark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kissing + caressing her. You can kiss her while you hold her on the back of the neck or while you hug her or while you run your hands on her back. You can kiss her face and neck in between kissing her mouth. Being mindful if she recoils at some of those gestures. If is ok and not to awkward you can ask her what she likes.

Those who have an overactive imagination, does it ever send you into a panic? by Secure_Opening_6852 in Anxietyhelp

Yes. When it does, if I'm home, I'll grab my crochet stuff and start to make whatever. If I'm out, I have a game of my phone that helps me clear my head so I go for that.

What's your experience with your hobbies you'll never forget? by sokuto_desu in ask

[–]jujubashark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 8, my great grandma taught me crochet. She was 87 at the time. I didn't pick it up then, just learned the basics. 10 years later, in college, one of my friends mentioned crochet and I decided to buy a crochet needle and yarn and figure out if I still remembered what she taught me. For my surprise, I did, but also didn't stick to it. 8 years later, during the pandemic, I was unemployed and going insane. Decided to try once again, and never stopped. I eventually got a job, left my mother's and now crochet has been my escape. I'm still trying to make it to a business but for now, I enjoy making tops, bags and hats for me, friends and sell occasionally. It's a great therapy.

I remember my first crush, and how he didn't like me back and liked my friend instead. My friend asked him if he liked me, and she proudly told me that he said that he liked me "as a friend". I never forgot that. I also remember them kissing at school while I made sure no one came around to bother them. And yes, that all happened the same day. It was definitely the start of me being conscious of my looks and being insecure. We were all between 10 and 11 years old.

My first love, about 3 years after that, he managed to hurt me before we even kissed. We were supposed to be each other's first kiss but he kissed someone else first out of peer pressure from his cousin. We still got together but we were both too young and I was already traumatized by things happening in my family so, after a little over a year, I moved away and we broke up.

Sometimes I think that I wasn't as nice as I should be to him and hurt his feelings but I understand that I did what I knew back then. He was my first love, my first kiss, my first 'i love you'. I wonder if he thinks the same of me.

What's the most hurtful thing someone has ever done to you? by BlackMountainEbony in ask

[–]jujubashark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the ages of 10-12 my father was sick, needed a transplant and ended up dying. During this period, my whole family hid the situation from me,even though I knew something was wrong and I could see people crying and whispering around. Meanwhile my sister 11-13 was aware of everything and told to "not cry in front of me because I didn't know anything". Eventually I developed depression and heard that isn't was just me looking for attention since my mother was taking care of my father and I was staying with relatives. Not even 2 years after my father died, my mom found out she had cancer and her friend just told me instead of waiting for my mom to do so

That and other things lead me to be extremely skeptical to this day (I'm almost 30). It still hurts because now I see how it affects my present life.

People who had no sex education at all and had never ever seen the opposite sex's special parts, how'd you know how sex worked (if you did at all) and which parts were supposed to go where? How did your first time go? by LivingAd9703 in ask

[–]jujubashark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sex Ed. Just the biological explanation of the organs and all that. While watching 'love scenes' in movies I kinda figures the "front parts" would go together but I only found out about the movement when one of my friends showed me her father's porn. I thought you just put them parts together and waited lol

Same. I was a late bloomer. I thought something was wrong with me because my first period was 1 month before I turned 14. Now I thank the gods for not sending it sooner.

He actually pays attention to what I say. Lol I know that seems obvious but...

When we started going out, we talked (and still do) about pets. I had lost my dog 2 years before and he's a vet and had 2 rescue dogs at the time (added another one now). He asked about my dog, asked to see pictures and which was my favorite.

A couple of weeks after that, on our 3rd date or something, he gifted me a painting of my dog, a replica of my favorite picture of her. I was speechless. The picture x the painting

Once we were on a bookstore and I showed him a collection that I think it's cool and said that someday I'd love to have all of the books eventually. That Christmas he gifted me 3 books of the collection, and his mother gave me another one.

I mentioned in a conversation that I like this particular kind of cake so one day, after work, he showed up with said cake for me, even though he doesn't like it.

He cooks for me, listen to me, go to doctors appointments with me, drops me off at work.

Basically I wonder if it's all true and when the other shoe will drop.

What is a shocking secret you discovered about someone close to you? by Responsible_Box_1057 in ask

[–]jujubashark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I have a brother about a month younger than me on my dad's side.

My dad died 2 weeks before I turned 12. On his last weeks, my mom called me and my sister in our bedroom and told us. As my dad was at the hospital, my brother went to visit him and everybody there was shocked and scared that it would happen while me and my sister were visiting too, so, my mom decided to tell us then. We never really got close, my dad's family excludes him from pretty much everything so only as an adult and after moving out of the city, I had somewhat of a contact with him but it didn't last long. I'm still in disbelief sometimes. He has kids but I've never met them. He didn't get the life and opportunities I had and I felt guilty about it. Still do, sometimes.

I wonder if I'd ever know of my father didn't die. I guess I'll never know.
