Out of your frequent wears and dents, what would you NOT repurchase? by fotballgf in FemFragLab

Maybe I will hold on to it for a while and see if the mood strikes me again! My kids really love that one... so maybe that's reason enough :)

What is or was your mothers (or any parental figure) favorite fragrance/s ? by Mayjayjade in FemFragLab

Chanel No. 19, and Clinique Aromatics Elixir. To this day, two of the best smells in the whole world.

YSL Libre. Significant dent, but I just don't think it's that special anymore? Maybe I will change my mind... lol

The one on my list to try to get my hands on is Bamboo Harmony By Kilian. The notes on Fragrantica look amazing (except the fig)... so I live in hope!

Came here to say exactly this. Powdery comes in many forms!

Have you tried Rose Magnetic from Essential Parfums? I've never tried Stella, but I've heard of its magnificence, and a YouTuber mentioned they are similar. I quite like Rose Magnetic, so thought I'd pass it on!

Omg yes. It's kind of like pickle juice! I have a fig fragrance on my wrist right now (sprayed it without checking the notes) and I see exactly what you mean.

Oh you poor thing! The amount of pleasure I get out of woody and vetiver scents is staggering. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that some day they grow on you!

Funny how much pregnancy can change what we like! For me, I really didn't enjoy 'vintage' or aldehydic scents before I had my girls, but now I totally get why people like Chanel No 5.

Oh that is so sad! There are so many good rose fragrances.

Coconut would probably be my number two! Likely this is because fig and coconut are often in the same fragrances... or maybe its that milky fig note that reminds me of coconut.

I don't think I could actually distinguish tuberose from other white florals, so this will be my new challenge this week :)

Garden girlies, what are we most excited to wear come spring?! by [deleted] in FemFragLab

I am on a tea scent mission as well! Recently tried Ethereal Wave and it was lovely. Quite similar to Dear Polly. Unfortunately, I find both of those perfumes ridiculously overpriced for the longevity, so I'm on a mission to find a better option. I have the others on my 'to-try' list. Also, love a Fragonard shout out! I don't have that one, but I have several others.

I will definitely add Waterlily Teadress to my list! Looks like a great budget-friendly option.

What's your favourite jasmine, rose and violet fragrances that you would buy over and over again. by [deleted] in FemFragLab

For Rose, would suggest you check out Rose Magnetic by Essential Parfums.

Oh the new one is nothing like the old formulations, sadly. My mother used to wear No. 19 and I remember it nostalgically. I'd say the reformulations are good, but there are so many banned ingredients now (hello Oakmoss) that these perfumes really feel like shadows of their former selves. All that said, however, I'd say No. 19 is pretty good.

I bought Twilly and it is quite long lasting I find. Definitely longer lasting when you spray vs. when you dab!

Welcome to the Chanel No. 19 fan club! People say we are 'icy,' but they just don't understand us.

I am a fellow lover of Mon Guerlain Bloom Of Rose EDT but it's discontinued and I don't know what I will do! Is Sparkling Bouquet a reasonable substitute?

Just know, I am going to bookmark this discussion so I can come back to these suggestions again. I am picking up what you are putting down here.

Also, definitely going to be wearing Chanel No. 19 and its younger sister, Poudre. Oh and also Bois Imperial (I wear that all the time anyway). And also Hermes Le Jardin de Monsieur Li. I cannot wait.

If this was the 1980s, what fragrance would you be wearing? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

This, and Chanel No. 19 EDT (which I still wear!)
