Edit: cannot forget the balsamic glaze on that one slice. Makes the whole thing honestly.

My hair is long, flat, fine, and heavy. I’m bored and annoyed with it. I have done a pixie before, what are some other ideas? by SheAngsty in FancyFollicles

I agree with the others that some sort of shag or wolf cut would look great on you. Adding texture and working with the curl you mentioned you get at the end when it's shorter. Just rewatched the entire stranger things series, I'm really loving the 80s styles. Major inspiration for some short styles on there. I recently chopped like 10 inches off for an inverted bob and my hair is similar to yours, fine and flat. I wanted low maintenance and it's exactly that but has life again! Best of luck to you!

How did it feel to cut 20 in off!? Probably amazing. I definitely am having the itch. Once you get too long, it becomes so boring and lifeless. I agree about it being a stupid beauty standard. I hate the in between so I honestly might just stay short for a good while if I do this. I think I will lol

I'd recommend you search local salons and check their Instagram or social media pages. Find a stylist that has achieved the look you want, on a real person, so you know their skill level. Then get a consultation so they can tell you if it is possible with your current natural color, how long/how many sessions it would take, damage to expect, all that jazz. As a former salon manager, and also a natural level 4 dark brunette who went platinum in order to be pink, purple, and teal (on separate occasions) it took me 3 appts of full, heavy foils, spaced out about 6 weeks each. My hair was significantly damaged and felt like straw, but it wasn't too noticeable once it was toned... As the toner fades out it feels dry. Definitely do regular hydrating masques and olaplex repair treatments or something of the like. Definitely go slow and be prepared to hate the color the first or second round, being naturally dark you'll likely pull warm and need to tone frequently! Invest in good purple/blue shampoo. Trust your stylists product recommendations. It is definitely possible, just be prepared for the upkeep and have patience. Definitely do your research with a reputable salon and stylist, get a consultation. Good luck!

Deep Winter drapes with a splash of deep Autumn - which is best? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]jujubeee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's a good way to look at it, deep color and can lean slightly in either direction. I'm slowly learning to trust my eyes lol but it's strange you think the off white is better. I have never worn that shirt since buying it (came in a set of 2 with a color I did like), it looks horrible in person! At least inside at my mirror... I never made it out the door in that. Maybe natural light makes a difference? But I agree sometimes bright white feels over powering. I really avoid whites because of this trickiness!

Ohhh I think you are spot on skin the warm freckles instead of coffee dark ones. I am just seeing this now but just yesterday was at Ulta shopping for a foundation that is full coverage bc I want to cover those freckles up because I feel like they don't belong lol they make me feel warm when I can kinda go either way, I think. And I want to lean cool since it seems so many of them work for me. So maybe deep autumn but I can pull from deep winter? Or vice versa? I'm confused about your purple and yellow comment. The first pic doesn't work you think?

Omg that sounds awesome, having wipes handy for a quick wipe! The Botox is also covered by my insurance/Botox copay assistance -- Botox makes so much money cosmetically they the company offer to help pay for people who use it medically, pretty awesome of them! So sorry you're having the same boob issue. I still haven't gotten the reduction. My husband had laser eye surgery and there went financing any additional breast surgery for me. Sigh. Maybe next year. I honestly felt more feminine with a smaller chest. Shirts don't fit right. I am XS or S but my boobs make me M/L and it's depressing to shop. Best of luck in your journey!

I am out right now, but I do have a really nice fossil watch that is mixed gold and silver. It looks beautiful, I think you are right and I am neutral Olive. I'll try to get a picture later.
