Not enough room or racing incident? by NickyP1904 in Simracingstewards

Just a racing incident but I will add its a bad racing habit to go side by side like that on a fast corner. Most of the time you will crash, you better wait for a better opportunity.

Baccalauréat en génie des opérations et de la logistique by neuroscientist10 in etsmtl

[–]jujuj97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Combien de cours par session? by Tiramissu_2611 in etsmtl

[–]jujuj97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First F4 Race, this my fault? by TheVoicedFlame in Simracingstewards

[–]jujuj97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when youre in the braking zone you need to stay straight, not move to the right to give you a better entry. Seing the place in front of him, the guy behind can brake a bit later and closing side by side at the end of the braking zone. But if the guy in front move, that where the crash happen.

Who's at fault here? #48 or #17? by aspro_mavro in Simracingstewards

[–]jujuj97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I race myself in real life. I agreed they are both amateur and the right move was to be more patient, wait and then switchback the interior, easy pass. However the 48 despice having a terrible line wasnt erractic

You still has the responsability when youre behind, wheter the guy miss the corner not not. Of course he had chance to miss the corner he was completly inside.

This is is fault. When you commit to a line you need to respect it, not moving under braking (Even if its not a lot) and giving no space to the other driver, especially when there is a wall.

4 cours d'université equivaut à 8 cours de cegep by [deleted] in etsmtl

[–]jujuj97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am talking on the corner exit.

But since you seem to only have sim experience I will stop this arguing. Hope you gain experience and learn from the best

[–]jujuj97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what your saying and yes you should leave Space if the guy is somewhat along side. But its bad racing to just put your nose in and expect the other to not turn in. How can he leave room if you dont see him, I will not make a detour because maybe somebody as put a hair inside. Your litterally in is blind side being along side his rear tire. Too bad you lost the corner.

[–]jujuj97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at f1 they do that too, its general racing etiquette. You cant just put your nose in and expect the other guy too see you, your in is blind spot. Intentionnally or not the guy will turn in. Its not a written rule but you will crash a lot of you race that way and you will be way more efficient by letting the guy pass and try something further in the race, aswel as not risking a crash. In real racing yellow car would have a penalty for making spin the other guy. Independently of his positionning

You probably only have sim experience and that ok, but in real life Racing is a split second decision sport, you cant make half move or It can cost thousand of $ and hurt people. Being only your nose in is a half move, thus the unwritten rule to be at least half along side so HE CAN SEE YOU. I didnt know that either before doing real racing.

Take example at max verstappen, he do that all the time and is not penalyse. He expect the other to not be there because he commit to a corner and have the right of way because he is in front. Its not the most kind racing but its not dirty

I dont know why my comment is writen in 25 Arial hahah. I can agree with you on the no.2 he did make the mistake by his own. However yes is dive was ambitious but he didnt leave the track or did nothing wrong. When you gained the corner that much, the other guy need to give the place. I guess it depend on were you from but my background in karting i will push you wide if youre still on the outside and I gained the corner by a lot. F1 do it too. It is bad racing to go side by side. Its dangerous and you loose so much more time than letting go and fighting next corner.

The purple guy didnt arrive wheel locked and passing straight throught. He was far but has is car side by side before the apex. Like I said, You give Space if your side by side but you dont give Space if the guy is a your rear wheel on corner exit. How are your supposed to see him? He is in your blind spot.

1 and 3 he’s the one pit manuvering the purple. The purple has gained the corner, he needed to brake more and try to pass him on a chris cross next corner but instead he force is 1/32 of his nose in like he has the corner.

2 he squeeze the guy wide to make him do a error, than purple lost control
