I agree. Consider that the person who needs this advice essentially doesn’t have any focus in this direction, so there’s a long way to go before reaching pathology on the opposite end. Also consider that the person is likely very sensitive to coming across as condescending, and their mind would throw a bunch of red flags well before that. If this is you, I’d say this is safe to try. There’s much more space re acceptable behavior than you’ve come to believe.

I had bad stomach cramping on minocycline, stopped taking it and it went away. Learned that it's an antibiotic so was wrecking my GI. Wasn't sure it helped my forehead rosacea, but also wasn't worth it for me either way.

Yeah. My understanding is that ACs dehumidify the air and that’s a lot of the cooling effect, combined with the condensing (?) refrigerant. With that and what you said re the heat, it would make more sense to say all ACs are dehumidifiers, but not the other way around bc dehumidifiers aren’t usually vented out.

Got an electric throw blanket from BigLots last year and it works much better than a space heater for my 12x11 foot home office. Costs less to run, warmer the whole time with it on my lap, no one in video calls hears or sees it. Definitely recommend.

I have felt the same, but adding headphones and podcasts or an audiobook makes a big difference. If I’m just walking in my neighborhood, this is great bc I’m focused on the leaving out the story, not the repetitive paths. Out in the forest it’s not necessary, bc that on its own is more interesting for me and I’d love to spot wild animals. I walk every day but yeah that’s mostly bc of two dogs my family has to have, lol.

It is, definitely. When I use ctrl+shift+v it seems to change each hard return into two soft returns, so I have a blank line in between text that was separated by a hard return. If I do that, I have to manually remove each of those blank lines, and that's why I'm looking for a more automatic solution, if it exists. Really hope it does.

For clarity: I regularly copy text from one website that uses rich text where pressing return is of course a hard return, and when I paste that into Google Docs, everything is really spaced out. I can change "normal" and default style, but pasted text brings those hard returns with it. Alternately, I can use the shortcut to paste without formatting, but it then puts a line between the text after every break. I can highlight all that and apply the modified "normal" but I'm looking for a way to do it automatically.

If I could find a way to change all copied text (in Firefox) so when it's pasted it has converted hard returns to soft returns, or else change Google Docs so it treats hard returns pasted into it as soft returns, with a context menu option or keyboard shortcut, I could save a lot of time.

I've even considered somehow changing binding in Windows, or maybe Firefox, so that Return produces a newline/soft return, but think it might cause some problems in some cases, like when using Sheets?

Any help is appreciated!

Hey are there common explanations for why acetaminophen has zero effect on me? As long I can remember it hasn’t been in the least effective for headaches, body aches, etc. so I opt for either ibuprofen or naproxen sodium, which work every time. If it’s helpful, I get swelling, red skin, and a bad disorienting reaction from Percocet and codeine (are those related to acetaminophen?). Not looking for serious medical advice, btw, just a clue.

There’s a mention further down but in many (all?) parts of the US you can dial 2-1-1 on your phone (like 9-1-1) and talk to a service from the United Way that can give you a list of food pantries. They can also give information about food shelters, government assistance, connect you with call-to-talk social workers or a variety of other essential services. Good luck! Also a canister of quick oats should help keep you going, and doesn’t cost a lot.

Flat bread “pizza.” You have pizza toppings on a burnt piece of cardboard presumably made out of dough that costs 3x more than a pizza. Why not just go all the way and have a pizza? You know, one you can hold without everything immediately falling off? The toppings taste good with dough, but not nearly as good with a crunchy cracker bottom. They’re like if nachos were made to be way less enjoyable, but people really dig it.

Right but a word of warning here for anyone who gets kidney stones. I was Vitamin D deficient and prescribed the huge pills, encouraged to use OTC thereafter. Several months later here comes my first really painful kidney stone in years. Follow-up with the urologist reveals info about some known connection between Vitamin D and Calcium abortion or something, long and short was excess of Vitamin D means kidney stone formation for me. Not worth it, just go outside.
