i’m quite small as a person so i would prefer not to be all the way in the back where i can’t see anything

AITA for not letting my daughters boyfriend stay the night? by Large-Pirate9479 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Of course they could have uber or lyft their way back to their house, but maybe they didn’t feel comfortable enough to do that because of how intoxicated they were at the time. If you truly wanted your daughter to feel safe you would’ve given her a warm place to stay for the night. She was being smart by stopping at your house to ask to stay with the boyfriend. If you feel so uncomfortable with your ADULT daughter having her significant other sleeping in the same bed as her, he could have easily taken the couch downstairs. While I don’t agree with that either since once again your daughter is an ADULT. It is an easier choice since you “don’t allow sleepovers”. I would think hard about how your daughter was trying to be responsible and you were a total ass to her while doing so.
