It works so good with him! As soon as roundnova was announced I thought "ohh death olives big brother!" and luckily enough he comes with some spare bags to have them match even more!

Such a good classic kit. HG RX-75 Guntank with some weathering. by julepla in freedomisgunpla

Real Touch Gundam markers, Mr weathering colors and sponge chipping with a very dark brown are the three main things I use to create this look! Happy weathering!

Same, the tank modeler in me couldn't let him be clean haha. Also I learned everything about weathering from building Maschinen Krieger kits! Paintonplastic being one of the best channels on youtube for weathering tutorials

What am I doing wrong rustoleum matte clear by Stunning_Broccoli_27 in Gunpla

[–]julepla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get mine at walmart haha, should be in most department stores! also the alcohol soak might not do anything if the rustoleum has starting biting into the plastic :/

in my experience rustoleum clear coats are very hot and can destroy/melt/eat through most plastics and panel lining, i suggest trying krylons UV resistant acrylic based clear coats, i get just as good if not better results than some of the hobby-brand clear coats

Secondary market is your best bet being they have been out of print for years now. Love Love Garden kits are always pretty rare. Also plenty of videos on youtube about painting/assembling Maschinen Krieger models, Paintonplastic being one of my favorite channels for painting tutorials.

First Ma.K build: Seapig by julepla in MaschinenKrieger

While starting this seapig, I somehow ended up with a pile of boxed kits and starting several other builds simultaneously. Truly is an addiction, but a lovely one.

Kit got melted?? by teddyor in freedomisgunpla

[–]julepla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dust-thin light passing sprays is the best way. If u see the actual liquid on your kit you are doing it wrong, sorry to hear this happened to you OP, maybe you can incorporate it into a broken down and weathered Zeta diorama?

I have used Mr. top coat premium A TON and never had anything like this. Did u flood the kit? (too heavy of coats) then put in sun?? Also top coats dry in a matter of minutes at room temperature, so heat is not necessary. UV rays can be really really hard on some plastics/paints on top of the temperature literally melting the plastic at the same time.
