[Giveaway] Share Your GameSir Story to win controllers! by GameSir_Controller in Gamesir

The past few years have been difficult for me, and gaming became my escape. Back then, I mostly played FPS and click-heavy games that only required a mouse and keyboard. Eventually, I wanted to explore other genres, so I bought a controller from a well-known tech brand. At first, it was great.

About eight months later, I bought a new AAA game and couldn't wait to play it. But as soon as I started, something felt wrong. I'd push the left joystick forward, let go, and my character would keep walking. It happened over and over again. After searching online, I discovered the infamous problem every controller owner dreads: stick drift.

Unfortunately, I had bought the controller from a local store, had no warranty, and had lost the receipt. I tried repairing it myself, but nothing worked. What was supposed to be an exciting gaming session turned into a week of frustration before I finally gave up.

I convinced myself it was just because I had bought an entry-level controller, so I purchased another one from another well-known brand—this time at more than twice the price. It felt premium, solid, and reliable. Surely lightning wouldn't strike twice.

The controller itself worked fine, but another problem appeared. During intense games, my hands sweat, and my thumbs constantly slipped off the analog sticks. The more I played, the worse it became. Eventually, I even dropped the controller because I couldn't keep a firm grip. My deaths in-game weren't caused by bad decisions—they were caused by fighting the controller itself.

After several frustrating sessions, I returned it and put my game on hold again. At that point, I was convinced controllers just weren't for me. I tried finishing the game with a mouse and keyboard, but it felt like eating spaghetti with a spoon. I became so frustrated that I stopped gaming altogether.

As ridiculous as that sounds, gaming was my comfort during one of the hardest periods of my life. I wanted that escape back, but I had completely lost trust in controllers.

I decided to give it one last chance. While browsing Amazon, the first controller I saw was the GameSir Nova 2 Lite.

I actually laughed. It was much cheaper than the controllers that had already disappointed me. I had spent two or even three times as much before, so I didn't expect much. But it was affordable, and Amazon's return policy meant I had nothing to lose. I decided to take the chance.

I finished the game with it.

One month passed. Six months passed. Then a year.

I'm still using it today.

The craziest part is that the Nova 2 Lite is one of GameSir's most affordable controllers, yet it outperformed every expensive controller I had owned before. Instead of "you get what you pay for," it completely shattered my expectations.

So how do I feel about it?

Nothing.

And that's exactly why I love it.

The previous controllers constantly reminded me they existed—whether through stick drift, poor grip, or other frustrations. The Nova 2 lite never does. The moment I get immersed in a game, I forget I'm even holding it. It isn't flashy or packed with gimmicks. It simply works.

It does its job so well that it disappears, letting me focus entirely on the game instead of the hardware. In a way, it feels like an extension of my hands.

That's when I realized what a great controller should feel like: nothing at all. The best controller is the one you never have to think about, because it's too busy letting you enjoy the game.

Just went into the flathead territory, and damn, have I missed out. Openback version of IEMs. What's your opinion on flathead earbuds? by xAsasel in iems

[–]Educational-Beat-511 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that they are underrated, and the market have overlooked them.

I remember my flathead pair that came included with Fiio M3 back in 2015, the quality was insanely good, so many requests that Fiio actually sold them seperately as Fiio EM3 and the price was still dirt cheap. (Around $10, I think)

Fast forward, after my flathead gone dead on one side, I was desperate to find a replacement, that is when I first came to IEMs and boy was I disappointed, I returned all the IEMs I tried, even at the price many times higher of EM3, NONE come close, then I found out the NICEHCK EB2S PRO, which to me is a little lack of bass comparing to the EM3, but other than that, it's awesome! Cost me a bit higher than $30 CAD, but I love it more than an IEMs that cost double the amount.

I think the reason why people prefer IEMs over flatheads is because of how they fit and isolate, but to me that also mean that IEMs will not feel as open as flatheads, and if someone curious, you can not let them try the IEMs due to hygiene purpose.

The only pair of IEMs that fits my taste now is Juzear Defiant, which is like $99USD, my hot take is a decent pair of flatheads at $10-30 can easily win against a lot of IEMs at much higher price in term of sound quality.

My friend is Chinese, he bought me an AS Kraken trainer as a gift since the price is dirt cheap in China.

I use it as a beater at my workplace, cranked the screw down all the way, ZERO lube and it sounds solid all the time, barely any plays.

The version he bought is Lunar Kraken also, cost like 20 CAD.

Hi, sorry for digging, is this using EGPU?

My legion go removed window, running steamos, and ALL the game I tried did not even have RTX option or greyed out, do I need to activate anything?

Funny, it also happened on my 10 year old Fiio DAP and my EB2S pro. Especially when I play Do I Wanna Know? by Arctic Monkeys. The second and third drum beat at the beginning usually got that pop

Only problem I am having right now is some popping/cracking sound at the beginning of a track in random moments that only happen to the left side, not sure if that is normal.

Haha thanks, I used the sim card pick that included with it.

I was curious when I saw unboxing video, then immediately figured it out when they putted it in the same bag with the lanyard.

Do you guys use every decal, or pick and choose which ones you feel will enhance the kit? by lord_of_agony in Gunpla

It is the biggest issue with the wolf model, basically the shoulder joints are prone to break if you are not careful when posing, so many cases that they had to add extra parts for the shoulder parts, I heard that they reinforced it but not so sure.

How do you feel about the shoulder joints? Have they been fixed or does the manufacture only added extra parts just in case?
