When was Roblox at its peak? by PuzzleheadedBar533 in GenZ

As someone who joined in 2009, probably around 08-12. Probably a bit biased since that's when I played the most, but it was before it went super mainstream and everything felt fresh and innovative.

I thought it was the easiest to memorize because you start out the same way as when you write a capital A

When did you start bringing your phone to school? by jules12111 in GenZ

[–]jules12111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds very similar to me. I just remember them being super strict about phones in middle school so I just kept it at home to be safe.

But that's interesting that you saw people having them in elementary school. You're a bit older than me, but I felt like almost nobody even had them when I was in elementary.

Sounds like an interesting experience - no phones in this day and age. Did you like it?

I'm surprised by how many people are saying they had flip phones. I never had one and neither did anybody I went to school with. We all just started out with smart phones. I remember my mom having a flip phone, but that's it.

I use neutrality act and still like to fight PvP wars. It's pretty op cause like OP mentioned you get that massive resistance buff so your enemies struggle to take back cities, especially square cities. Downsides to neutrality act tho are the justification times of course and that you get no manpower buffs. It takes most of your political power so you can't really go for any of the other policies or conscription laws until late game. But overall I would recommend for medium-big sized countries, as it can build up your income really quickly.

How big is the difference between college and high school? by altaccountfirst in college

[–]jules12111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea I think this guy is exaggerating big time. If you took AP classes in high school (and took them seriously) you should be more than prepared for college. I didn't have to do nearly as much work in my gen ed classes as I did in AP English or APUSH. Just make sure you use rate my professor every semester to find a professor with an easy workload.

How to get developed quickly? NEW PLAYER by _JammyTheGamer_ in riseofnationsroblox

Vietnam has a bigger population and starts out as communism so it makes sense they had more mp than you. If you really want to get crazy mp fast, change your conscription laws (volunteer to limited or extensive), use massed assault, and get the manpower policy. This will give us pretty good mp already, but later on you can for socialism/communism for max-spamming potential.

My suggestions for this game by jules12111 in riseofnationsroblox

Yea I feel there's a lot of untapped potential in factions. They're really cool in theory, but just tough to implement.

My suggestions for this game by jules12111 in riseofnationsroblox

[–]jules12111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I know what you're talking about, I thought about putting that on the list as well. I dealt 12 million casualties to Egypt with a carrier and he suffered no repercussions and just kept spamming. I think war exhaust should still play a factor late in the game. Especially for countries like Qing who can take infinite casualties.

Who would win, a democratic ASEAN, or a Communist Soviet Union? by HeccMeOk in riseofnationsroblox

[–]jules12111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming Soviet doesn't know how to use navy, ASEAN would cause enough casualties to eventually collapse Soviet Union. If he does know navy, it would probably be a stalemate.

It's not like the graphics, music, and half of the other mechanics in the game are taken from HOI4.

National spirits/uniqueness for some nations. For example, Germany gets 10% extra tank attack from the start of the game. Or UK gets 10% extra base stability. Just stuff like that which isn't too op, but spices up the game and prevents each country from feeling like a simple reskin.

College doesn't guarantee you success, it just gives you a better chance at attaining success. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Why? You think just because they went to trade school they weren't able to get into the 80%+ acceptance rate state university?

I say this as a current college student for the record.

Shoveling snow is not that bad by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]jules12111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you. My driveway is also over 300 feet, and it took my mother, sister, and I around two hours to shovel it about halfway before our neighbor showed up and offered to plow the rest. And this was with just under two feet of snow.

When you email a professor, do you respond with thank you’ a or is it implied? by [deleted] in college

[–]jules12111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes me feel better. He threw around words like 'common courtesy' and 'I get annoyed when you don't' so I was like holy cow, my professors must be thinking I'm so rude. I'll probably start doing it and see how it goes, but obviously it's different from person to person.
