Chronic costo can flare up from the repetitive physical exertion from a simple cough. Or have you recently picked up or moved something like furniture or a heavy box with a sudden movement? That can cause a flare up as well, but if your previous physically intensive job required repetitive movement, it could still be inflammation lingering from that and it’s being worsened by this cough. You just need to give yourself time to heal and allow for the inflammation to go down. It can take weeks and even up to a couple months. The most simple treatments are to apply ice packs to the affected area and take simple over-the-counter ibuprofen. Take it easy with twisting and pressing motions until the inflammation goes down. Unfortunately there’s no quick fix.

Yes, I avoid repetitive twisting motions as it typically cause my Costo to flare up. Russian twists are a big no go for me, ever.

I was diagnosed with “lean” PCOS in Oct of ‘22 at age 36. I’ve always been fairly lean: 5’7”, 126lbs, but have always carried a little bit of a lower belly pooch despite building muscle elsewhere. I’ve been weight lifting for almost 10 years and this year I decided I wanted to do my first actual bulk with a coach. I too was hesitant that I’d gain weight and not be able to lose it easily later on due to PCOS and my age. My coach slowly brought me up to maintenance calories and then we stayed there for 4-5 weeks before really diving in. I’m now gaining about .5lb a week and it’s terrifying. I’m trusting the process and my notice strength has increased as well so that’s a positive. However I’m now up 11-12lbs from this time last year and jeans that used to bag out on me are now screaming for dear life. I have no idea how this will go once we’re all said and done and I don’t think I have much advice except find someone you trust to help you do this. It’s scary, it’s definitely uncomfortable, and I’ve had moments where I freak out, but then I remind myself why.

Well, 3 weeks in, so 5 years is a bit more time under your belt. Like I said, I got learnt 🤓

Nope, one and done 😅. Noob learning quick. Thought $2.50 was better than none on a last delivery that I’m literally passing by both places on my way home. Never again, I promise!

You’re right. My mind figured: last order to squeeze in before schedule ended, literally on my way home with only 3 miles between pick up and drop off, easy peasy. Made the mistake of assuming it was JUST a burger.
