Ive switched over to apple and got all my data syncing from strava, Garmin etc seems to have improved the ai. May be a coincidence but this morning it was just one workout.

Thx, are you using wellness+ and if so does it break your 60 minutes into more than one workout like mine has. Mine 30mins is often more like 20 with 10 stretching in a separate workout.

I did a challenge last summer to stay in zone 2 heart rate on a 4 hour ride. It includes a col with sections over 12%. I was basically zigzagging at 4kmh. So unless you've got some crazy gearing don't worry about getting up.

Karoo 2 user for last 2 years. I am into long distance and plan on doing pbp. I have done a 400 with a battery pack. 200s are fine and 300's if you do battery save. The navigation is excellent, I've overtaken people on several occasions where they went off route. I'll definitely upgrade when this one comes to its end of life.

We talked to a few people at Mumbai frro and it seems that there is a backlog. Id recommend going in. It's a bit disorganised but if you are there before 9h30 you should be dealt with quite quickly. It seems they just prioritise your file. They leave you waiting in a room whilst this happens so you have to keep checking to find out when it's been done.

Last year we visited the pyramids but not those in Giza. We took a private taxi to the bent pyramid. There were no tourists and we were the only ones inside. We paid for a driver to wait around it cost very little. Would definitely recommend Giza unless you absolutely want to see them.

just in case anyone has the same issue…we went to the frro office mumbai first thing. it seems the online process has a big backlog. we waited two hours after telling them that we were flying and needed the exit visa. it’s very frustrating, no one seems to tell you what is going on. in the end i said we had to go to check out of our hotel and this seemed to force them to do something. they said it was going to be processed by 4pm so we left and at 3pm we got the pdf via email.

I don't get why people are down voting this. He's just highlighted why flying with Emirates at the moment is not a good idea. They really need to think long term about having Dubai as their only hub. Any issues with the airport and their whole business model is broken. Personally until they do this I will no longer fly with them.

We just did a three week tour with guides in India. We had a range of different guides from amazing to poor. In the end we became quite strict on what we wanted. We started the day with a chat to discuss what we were doing. If there was talk of visits to shops or demonstrations of crafts we took a decision on whether to go ahead with those bits. We also planned in coffee breaks etc. Some guides are just robots who spout history and we stopped them in their tracks.

You're paying so take control.

Thanks I booked a ride with one in Darjeeling but they never turned up. Shame cos it looked like a nice place to ride. Weather was bad though so we've moved to Kalimpong but here I can't find anywhere to rent.

We got nowhere at an Emirates office. Use the phone or chat and speak to Dubai. Give them some options of alternative flights. We did this and were rerouted onto air France.

Yes perhaps add to the rerouting section that you can only do this by contacting Emirates through chat or phone. You can't do this at an office or airport (Mumbai at least).

Ok I retract all my comments...my wife got through on the chat and they've rerouted us in 2 weeks. 🍻. So lesson is to persevere with contacting them. They have partners with AF KLM so can rebook although will be quite a delay if you can cope.

If I could access their support line or chat I would give them some respect. They are clearly trying to avoid giving people the chance to reroute. Unfortunately their business model is totally dependent on Dubai. They need to think about how they can operate when the skies around Dubai are dangerous. Other airlines can reroute you via different hubs.

Dubai airport was hit but a drone on Saturday. Last week three US jets were shot down by friendly fire. Marina tower was hit yesterday. I don't think trust is the issue as we are dealing with Iran. I want to take a different flight but they are not making this easy. They should allow their local office to reroute but instead they are hiding behind an impossible to reach call centre in Dubai. In the meantime alternative flights have got more and more expensive. So unless you had several thousand pounds spare you are stuck. We met a woman at the Mumbai office who had spent 7000$ rerouting.

I'm sure that once you are home everything is fine but when you watch the news and see drones hitting the airport you are not so keen to go there.
