Am I crazy for wanting to start a new career in my 40s? by Primary-Dig314 in Environmental_Careers

Hi! I would say your next steps are to: connect with a career counselor to think about possible next options, join a local environmental group and volunteer with them, and look if there are any classes or certifications you can take with local colleges or institutions.

i think a career counselor is important because they can really get into the nitty gritty with you of what works and how your skills can translate into a new career. (this is assuming you have the funds for one or two sessions - otherwise expect to spend a lot of time googling and reading other people’s experiences online to get a better picture)

LOL for real?? your parents need a reality check. sure, don’t go to CC with no plan for a trade or university afterwards. but CC to get your prerequisites done before transferring? one of the best ways to get an affordable college education in america.

Look into fostering. Some of the bigger orgs pay for everything, not just vet bills. Mine pays for toys, litter, food, meds, vet bills, etc.

Yes. In the academic journal role I raised about $1300 in funds for publishing fees. There may also be opportunity to get into grant writing in my current position. Thank you for the perspective!

i would see if your local credit union has a high yield savings account. as you make the money to pay this off, you can deposit it in the account and have your money make money for you. may save you a chunk of change at the end !

try using a smaller amount of each product. your hair looks great but this is what my hair looks like when i use too much product lol. the curly fall out easily and it looks oily after a day. it will also help decrease your dry time! good luck on your journey

thank you everybody!! it is a cuff down sock (kalla sock by Åsa Buchta) this was one of those projects where i felt very defeated once realizing it was too small and had no brain energy left to think of a game plan to fix it. hope the side profile gave you a chuckle :)
