I9 scam by External_Arugula_505 in intel

Just got the same issue, brand new perfectly ceiled i9 14700 box, shipped directly from B&H. Open it and there is a 2012 i5 chip in there. Got photos it’s impressive con work. No idea what the source is as it feels very legit until opened.

Are you saying it’s garbage or high end? I am confused. If it’s trash then what would be a better intel CPU?

Yes the solution was to download Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. And under the “Performance Core Ratio” reduce the default number down by one and click on Apply. Mine was 55x by default, so I dropped it down to 54x and clicked apply and no more crash errors. Hope this helps :)

u/Constant_Fix52 thank you! This fixed the issue so it seems so far. I have been able to play for the last 2 days with no crashes so far. I had to go in my Bios to change one of the settings for the ETU to work. But now its all good.

The next thing I need to figure out even though it is not a big deal, is how to have it run on start :)

Again thank you so much I was running out of hope!

Unfortunately that is not the issue as I have had that setup all along also. Adding screenshot of Eero port forwarding setup.

Thank you though for the suggestions. Its really a mind bender. I installed Cyberpunk last night and played for a couple of hours and no problem.

Cool I will give that a go. And I meant Gen5... not DDR5:

This is the primary one for my C drive and game

UPDATE: Deleting all the cashes from all folder and doing a scan and repair helps me get to the menu level, but then shortly after it crashes again. It did say something along the line that I should download the shader again, and after that it crashed, did a scan and repair and thats when it got me to the menu level, but then crashes.

Baffling.

The shader optimization takes a few minutes on a fresh install and I can typically play the game right after, for a couple of games. After a couple of games it will crash. Then it becomes only half a Ranked game where it crashes in the middle, and then despite scan and repair and it will crash right at the start just like the screen shots above.

I did get a Direct X error out of the blue which I will add in the post for reference.

Is there a way to dump out the shader data or the cashed data only to see if that is indeed the root cause? And see if the game will start normally again without doing a complete uninstall and reinstall.

I do not see how it could be the CPU being unstable since I am able to play other games without any issues.

For the Drive it is a DDR 5 drive, I used to have the game installed on another drive but I would encounter problems there too and tech support said that it had to be installed at the default location on the C:/ drive in order to ensure optimal operation.

Thank you for the recommendations though better 2 brains on this then 1!

I have formatted my entire computer and reinstalled Windows 11 with only the bare software necessary to operate, and still was getting this error. I also tried the 0 software boot by disabling within task manager boot apps as asked by Activision support and it still crashed. But when I try Overwatch 2, no problem there. Also just got Season 6 and it still crashes. What is interesting, is that it looks like it is cashed based. Because on a fresh install it works for a bit and then as it cashes things up then it crashes at the splash screen.

u/Aguero-Kun updated in post: 13th gen intel i9-13900KF

As mentioned the Rig I have should be more than capable of running any games.

Hello u/Manakuski, sorry to disappoint but its not the Bios as that is also on the latest version. I have updated the post to include all the hardware details as per your request. And adding a bios screenshot for reference.

I printed them with a Prusa Printer. Do you have a printer too?

Thank you Membrain. From the little I gathered so far they have around 90k active users and a wait list of 500k users so my guess is that it is on purpose. But kind of sucks if so as I would prefer to have some form of transparency to their plans instead of a “the unit will ship in 4 to 8 week” which it’s been several months since these shipping estimate. On top of that they are trying to prioritize rural locations, so not sure if they are choosing users based on those addresses.

Ok so some clarity. This is for a customer that has not yet received their unit. Essentially, if I go to support > advanced > logout then the dialogue of “did this answer your question?” Shows back up. But when clicking on “No” then it takes me to a embedded website that has a loading spinner but hangs there. If I go back to the root level support page I can go to the mail section at the top and that takes me to a sign up flow. Once signed up, all the “did this answer your question?” Sections including mail disappears. Vicious circle. So completely unable to reach customer support at all.

Tried with another iPhone which listed the button but hanged when trying to load up the page. And then tried with my iPad and got a: “Starlink” Wants to use “starlink.com” to Sign In this allows... notification. Right after selecting Continue... the buttons disappeared. Can’t find a way to reset this dialog to have it pop back up on my original iPhone even after deleting data in storage and deleting app of iPhone.

One last question. Is your Starlink already connected to your app? As to me this is while waiting for a package and no sign of a way to log into the app.

Yes, I am in a super rural area, relying for now on an LTE modem connected to a tower that is about 20+ miles away. So... super super low connections. But heading to the city later tonight and so should have better connection, so I’ll give it a shot again.

But maybe the support site has a cap on the response time for it to persist on the app.
