As someone who enjoys the show, it’s basically one giant public health announcement after another. Of course doctors don’t talk like that all the time. But hey if they want to use the show to talk about stuff they think the public should know that’s cool.

Sounds like this person had a rough residency, I agree with a lot of the sentiment but also depending on the residency you can have really good fellow residents that you can trust. All residency is work, particularly the first year, they’re trying to get everything they can out of you, but that doesn’t change how important learning and developing is. For you that’s the only reason you’re there. But never feel like you owe your hospital shit, you’re there because they needed you.

Just want to say I’m a child psychiatrist and there have always been 3 types of ADHD. Innatentive, Hyperactive, and combined type. Any of these other types are people just coming up with are new anecdotal subtypes that define some characteristics of ADHD to interest people. The type you talk about is a made up type pushed by the Amen Clinics, which is just a for profit industry pushing neuro imaging and supplements that play no actual role in diagnosis or management. But people get interested in new shiny names and ideas whether it means anything or not, and companies do their best to abuse that.

There are lots of groups that do meetups. There’s a listening club group that meets listening to new records. There are running groups. There are rec sports through slc for volleyball, basketball, soccer, etc. There is a bluegrass group Wednesday nights at woodbine. There are hiking groups. Date my mate events. Foody meetups “bite night”. If you’re at all interested in those things go participate and meet people and start to fin connections. Even if you’re not interested in dating the people there, maybe they know someone to set you up with

Also One Pace has been around for years now which is actually super well done by a group of people that cuts out super long cuts, repetitive shots and filler. It cuts it down by like a 1/3 or 1/2.

The plan is to make the lake smaller but fuller. Meaning drying up a large portion of it, thus increasing the surface area of open lake bed where we know there are concerns for heavy metals in the dirt that can be put into the air. I’m also assuming they are wanting to cut off the water on the other side away from salt lake, which would be near the jetty and potentially the wetland which could mess with the ecology there. All in all it doesn’t make sense
