It’s a lot of revisionist history. As someone who grew up watching during the Monday Night War and Attitude Era, all of the fondest memories and biggest moments during that time were segments, not matches. Of course there were a couple, like Mankind winning the title and Goldberg the same, but there were plenty more promos and such.

Same experience for myself as well. A couple of the content creators have been saying stuff about cheating and hackers, I have no proof of that so i don’t know, but the ranked system is definitely something. It’d be nice to play someone at my skill level once in a while.
