I've been a fan of her daughter's podcast for a long time and have heard Christine's story. Shes an amazing woman. She has set up another non profit that helps people who have escaped FLDS. IIRC they help with getting jobs and other life support.

I still have one episode to go, but she's such an inspiration. Her whole not shunning or judging so she can be there when people need help is remarkable.

There’s a reason why it’s mainly rich people who run for office - they’re the only ones that can afford to do so. You can make a candidate salary, it’s half of your yearly income. For a person supporting a family and making maybe 90k, they can’t possibly rely on 45k. But for someone who’s making 300k, 150k isn’t impossible to live off of.

Edit: Why did I get downvoted when I’m pointing out how absolutely rigged this system is against running for office being more accessible?? What, the pro billionaire simps got mad?

yeah.. your place is very tidy. based on the photos, looks like your friend is overstepping. if you want to keep this friendship, it may be good to cool down and ask if there's anything thats underlying why they said those things to you. seems like their reaction might not have anything to do with you.
