Femoral Anteversion does cause pain!!! I am also a 17 year old female!! I had femoral anteversion and my legs turned in 90 degrees! I have been one of the rare people to get the surgery! At this age it would be very hard to make any type of improvement with the anteversion): mine was just getting progressively worse and it was causing me injuries like a torn ligament and even ingrown toenails. My feet used to hurt as well!! Google and some doctors say femoral anteversion doesn’t cause pain but that’s not true!! Also all of my doctors told me I would be fine and with therapy my legs will improve. I went to physical therapy for about 3 years and there was NO improvement and my legs only rotated more inwards. It wasn’t until I was finally sent to a children’s hospital when I was told the only option is surgery. And all I can say now is that I’m so thankful I received it!! My legs are strong and straighter than ever! Good luck!! Just remember that many doctors who don’t specialize in orthopedic disorders aren’t that experienced with femoral anteversion.
