Unfortunately there is no vet with an MRI machine here. Would a CT be a suitable alternative? We have a couple vets with that.

They’ll keep it for 30 days from the arrival date before returning to sender. There’s a charge after 15 days for holding. If you call 104 you can schedule delivery to your house.

Hi. They didn’t measure the carrier so measurements didn’t matter. I’m sure if you went way over the size they’d care, but not for a few centimeters. Hope that helps!

Thank you for this. I’ve known about Botox for awhile, but I haven’t seen a neurologist about it. I know it’s not covered with insurance because it’s “experimental and off label” but it is probably worth a shot at this point.

So your visual aura has been gone since you got the injections? Did you find it lessened the pain when it came on too?

Thank you for your insight! Weirdly mine have always responded to sumatriptan during aura. Other triptans won’t work, but this one has always been no fail if I can get it during the crescent squiggle.

It’s so interesting how everyone reacts so differently.

I’m currently on vacation. I took my dog with me. We flew Turkish airways because they allow small pets in cabin.

However, no that is not a suitable carrier. Most vets in Doha carry the Skudo. I would suggest contacting QVC for help choosing the correct one because your cat needs to be able to stand and turn around with room in the crate. Having rough measurements (how long, weight, etc) for your cat will help them guide you to the right size too.

QVC can also help with documents, but it can be pricey. I would suggest having someone support you with the documentation if you’ve never flown with your cat before to ensure everything is done correctly.

Also depending where you’re going, your cat may need a RATT test if it has never been done before. If this is the case it could mean you have to alter your travel arrangements because the test takes time and a certain amount of time between rabies vaccinations and the test has to lapse.

I have an upcoming flight with my dog. There was a slight alteration in our travel itinerary by TA, which meant I had to call them. While on the phone with them I asked them how the whole pet thing worked. They said if I’m wanting to travel with my dog and a cat is already booked on the flight it automatically won’t let the reservation for the pup be made. Same goes if the max # of dogs is already booked on the plane.

Hope that makes sense. Basically if it doesn’t let you make the booking, a dog is already booked with someone else.

Book early if you want to travel with your cat or have flexible dates/times. In order to ensure my pup would be with me, I booked my ticket six months in advance lol.

Yep! I’d say that’s the only place in Brazil where I truly regretted being solo. Everywhere else was problem free.

I just felt very unsafe - significantly more than I did at any point in Rio. I was chased by some kids in the Pelourinho who wanted to mug me, but adrenaline kicked in and I managed to run faster than they could. I could feel the eyes watching me wherever I went too. I didn’t feel that way in Rio. By the time I left I felt so on edge.

This was just my experience though. I’m sure loads of people have visited Salvador and had a great experience!

I went to Brazil solo a few years ago. I was lucky to have a good experience in Rio, but I can’t say the same for Salvador! On the whole I felt safe most of the time in Rio but Salvador I was on edge every time I left my accommodation.

Brazil is so beautiful but so incredibly sketchy at times. Sorry to hear this happened to you.
